When those in power are the perpetrators and reward the protectors of this violence, impunity becomes policy. This is not governance; this is moral collapse. Modi's meltdown after the Supreme Court declared Electoral Bonds as unconstitutional. He thinks of himself as Lord Krishna, and ₹6500 crore of dirty money collected by the BJP as the 'potli' of rice donated by Sudama. How shamelessly he is creating analogies after being caught accepting bribes and dirty illicit money through electoral bonds. Many companies that donated to the BJP were being probed by the ED and IT, and in fact, many donated after the probe was initiated. Whenever there is a fall in PM Modi’s popularity, or an economic crisis, or there are huge job losses, the Modi government brings out IT and ED. It's been a decade since the BJP has been in power; still, they are not able to prove any charges in ED cases. What are the success rates of IT and ED cases? If at all the central government is keen on finding where the black money is going or money laundering is happening, then they should raid their own offices. BJP is receiving Rs. 2000-3000 crores of donations. RSS's new building is built worth Rs.150 crores with modern technology. Who's funding it? They are saying 75,000 volunteers have donated the money. Ironically, the ED action appears to have re-energised sections of the CPM cadre who had remained subdued following a historic electoral setback. Fake currency was a serious issue and it is always a serious issue for any nation as it can strike at the very foundations of faith in the financial system. However some things have changed since demonetization. Various forensic reports have suggested the pre demonetisation fakes were "functionally" fake whereas fakes now are "visually" fake and substantially caught by counting machines. (To be fair counting machines have upgraded too). There is no news of Pakistan being able to copy our new notes "functionally". Your political opinion can vary, but the fact is even Manmohan Singh government took fake currency notes very seriously. They called it terrorism! We are presenting some of UPA actions against fake notes (that arguably failed) so you can decide if the issue was small or big and not let some random influencer decide it for you.
