this is so stupid and disregards the entire point of pan-africanism. They need to stop giving mics to clowns so more clowns can justify their stupidity. its not about being the exact same; its about unification through struggle and the global challenges we face along with shared prosperity we can have. Proper unity has immense benefits for all of us, and its very much insane that this needs to be explained. Europeans absolutely speak about not just being from a country but the general fact of being European, and it happens all over. If anything the real issue is saying someone is your brotha and yet pushing them more away than those you wouldnt call that term. Not building business and cooperating with each other. Or understanding how the fragmentation of black people was very intentional, and how the fragmentation has never helped. While the brief moments of unity have empowered.

Out of all the clips I’ve seen this man has no answer or soulution for anything, he’s making no points he’s just expressing agitation and hostility through dialogue. but the delineation, I second

I think I understand what he's saying. Blacks in America unite for protection against white supremacy but in Africa there's no such thing as white supremacy... So what do they need to unite for? We center whiteness in our unification, they don't.

I agree w/ him on this. Sounds like delineation

Of course black people in the diaspora are not the same but pan Africanism is a counter measure against the “white supremest system” which operates on a global level to discriminate against any black person irrespective of what tribe their from, so that’s the asymmetry he missed

And that’s why they were selling the conquered tribes. They don’t consider each other as brothers. It makes more sense now.

Can’t divide people who was never unified. These immigrants come to America and cling to whiteness because they are told white people are superior. They tell their child to stay away from black Americans. They’ll never fight with us because it’s not their fight to begin with.

He using warfare from pre-colonial Africa as an example when that’s historically out of context. At the time Shaka Zulu was alive, there was no term of “Black” and “white”. That market was birthed from the slave trade and then stamped as reality during Bacons Rebellion.

I concur. However, he missed one important detail about Europeans (especially them) and Asians though. When they need to come together to conquer other people, or put systems inplace to benefit themselves & at the expense of other nations they do in a blink of an eye.

The problem with many folks is they just hear and respond. They do not listen. Listen and you will capture his point of view. He did not say blacks cannot unite. In fact, he asked, unite for what reason? Meaning, blacks can and will united for a legitimate reason. The point of his argument however is black people, like all other races of people, holds different unique ethnicities. Therefore, we should quit calling ourselves brothers because we are the same skin color. SIMPLES!

As a British born Jamaican that has visited Africa 3 times, I tell you that this African is exactly right . They'll never be unity in Africa. You have to see it to believe it. Hence why the Pan African movement started in Jamaica/USA . No one is prepared to suffer to unify. All great nations fought wars to unify their various peoples. In Nigeria alone they're over 200 different ethnic groups. In kenya theres about 140. You can even see the difference in physiques & colours.

So like I’ve been saying we don’t align with Africa or that land! We are Black Americans and should focus on black American/Christian values. We are AMERICAN nothing else..

Pan-Africanism wrongly imposes an African identity upon Foundational Black Americans, thereby exploiting and misrepresenting their true American identity. Pan -Africanism is a joke because 100% of the people who spread that ideology don’t want to live in the continent of Africa.

I get what he’s saying, and it’s not a black thing at all. You shouldn’t unite because of skin you should unite because of spirit. Unification around God. God is the only thing worth uniting around.

Brand Nubians "Sunshine" 🤔This is why Conscious Rap had to be replaced with Gangsta,Drill,And Commercialize Rap because Our Music is Our way of communicating with each other and other Black people on a global scale,So the Powers that be saw that Black people were becoming more Conscious of Self and Positive movements were happening also, Hence the creation of dumb downed commercialize cookie cutter 🍪Rap Music.

Asia is made up of Indians, Chinese, Arabs, Slavs, Mongolians etc. They are all very distinct. Pan Africanism is possible but it has to respect the differences of various ethnicities. Pan Africanism should be about “Unity in Diversity”.

Europe unites around Christianity & secularism, the scientific method, the Enlightenment, similar IQs & low time preference & high-trust cultures. Black people’s unity in the West is built around a shared identity of dysfunctional underperformance & being low-status.

This is one of the dumbest statements I’ve ever heard Do you think all Jewish people run around calling each other brother and Sister NO But do they Unite for a Bigger cause to help each other Yes When Slavery was around did they say Oh I have this Black slave from such and such tribe treat him different from the slave from this other tribe🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ Fuck no all Black where the same in their eyes just like they are today We don’t have to be actual brothers and sisters but Blacks do need to unite so we can have more power in this world

This is the primary reason they can make a song called "Akata" against Black Americans 🤔We are not their Brother's and Sister's,It's these goofy azz Pan Africans with that Motherland bullshit,Who don't even live there,Melanin doesn't make you related.

That man is an idiot. In Africa and Asia yeah it isn’t like that however in America we are both divided and united by race so yeah you might be “different” but that skin color is what should unite us because you’re not seen as different from me by “them”
