Wondering, do you do anything to announce your presence when entering these high traffic areas for setup and retrieval, or is your focus more stealth to minimize disrupting locations?

I always use an air horn when I go into those areas. Rule #1: Never surprise a bear, let bears know you're there.

Is this recent? Still a lot of snow in the bush?
