Protest against Modi for something that happened in a state-government-run hospital? And unnecessarily invoking the caste card.

Even the bloody fourth pillar the so called Journalists does not raise this to Gov and all the upper and lower middle class has to go through a lot for medical expenses, in other countries all citizens are given medical insurance unlike in India, tax is paid by all, but benefits

I totally empathise his situation and I feel very sorry for him, because my daughter has nephrotic syndrome too and I can feel the pain as a parent, if the hospital has done this, they should be punished immediately and necessary actions to be taken and also Gov should 1/2

What Narendra Modi can do if he got wrong treatment at Government Hospital. He should lodge protest with State Government right. But I see a positive note. This might be because people feel state government is not capable of resolving issues and pin thier hope on @narendramodi

Give proper medical assistance, medical expenses are too costly, till date Gov not spend 2.5% of the GDP on medical for people which they promised to implement in 2021 itself, shame on Gov and no one cares about this issue, they make ruckus for unnecessary other issues

#WATCH | Delhi | Judge dies by suicide in Safdarjung | Father-in-law of Judge Aman Kumar Sharma's sister says, "... I spoke to my son on the call who told me that they are taking Aman to Safdarjung Hospital. By the time I reached the hospital, the doctor had already declared him dead... As per the statement given by his father to the Police, around 10 pm last night, Aman had called him saying that he was distressed and it had become difficult for him to continue living. His father departed from Alwar right then and reached here around 12 in the night. Upon arriving, he learned that Aman had been having conflicts with his wife. He told his father that he had been harassed for the last two months. His wife (Swati) is a judicial officer, and her sister is an IAS officer (Nidhi Malik) currently posted in Jammu. According to Aman, Nidhi Malik had been interfering in his life, and she was controlling his household... Aman's father said that his daughter-in-law told him that if you don't leave from here, she would call the police... The next morning, Aman's father tried to contact his daughter-in-law's parents, but they had blocked his phone... Then an argument broke out in the house. So Aman's father went to the other room. According to him, Swati was extremely angry and shouting, while Aman was crying. After a while, the noise stopped. He waited for a while, thinking that the argument had been resolved. When he went to check up on them after some time, he asked Swati about Aman's whereabouts, to which she replied that she did not know. .. When he called Aman's mobile, he heard it ringing inside the bathroom. He knocked on the bathroom door and asked him to open the door. During this, Yudhvir (Swati's chacha) and Nidhi Malik arrived. They tried a lot, banged the furniture against the door, but the door didn't open. Then the neighbours told them that there was a window in the shaft. So they got a ladder. The guard Shankar climbed the ladder, broke the window and entered the bathroom. He found Aman hanging... Aman was 30 years old..."

On August 30, former Kampala Lord Mayor and People's Front for Freedom - PFF Executive Chairman Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago was transferred from Murchison Bay Prison after his health seriously deteriorated. The PFF announced that Lukwago had been urgently taken from the prison to a medical facility. A family member later told AGORA that he had been transferred to the Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) clinic for treatment. The emergency follows months of documented concerns about Lukwago’s health in custody. Specialists at Mulago National Referral Hospital identified several medical conditions, including a spinal condition requiring specialised treatment. Lukwago told the court that doctors had recommended treatment in India. His lawyers partly sought bail to enable him to access that treatment, but the High Court dismissed his application on July 30, ruling that the medical evidence presented had not been certified by a prison medical officer. Lukwago remains on remand, facing a charge of misprision of treason, which he denies. He was committed to the High Court for trial on July 16. His transfer came days after Kifefe Kizza-Besigye was moved from Luzira Maximum Security Prison to the same facility following a serious deterioration in his health. AGORA calls for Lukwago to receive immediate and unrestricted access to the specialised medical care his condition requires. His family and lawyers must also be promptly informed of his medical condition and whereabouts. #SaveEriasLukwago #FreeEriasLukwago #JusticeForEriasLukwago

A city-based eye surgeon was booked after his wife, a government doctor, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her rented residence in Jalandhar on Wednesday. The deceased, Dr Meenakshi, was found hanging in a room of the house. Police have registered a case against her husband, Dr Piyush, an eye surgeon associated with a prominent eye hospital in the city, under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for abetment to suicide. Investigations are underway and authorities are awaiting the postmortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death. The case took a serious turn after family members alleged that Meenakshi had been subjected to domestic abuse and mental harassment for several years. They also claimed that she had recently discovered that loans amounting to nearly Rs 2.5 crore had been taken in her name without her knowledge or consent. According to her family, the victim, who was serving as a doctor at a government hospital in Kapurthala, had been living separately from her husband since July 2025 due to marital disputes. Her parents alleged that she was planning to seek a divorce and had recently begun exploring the purchase of a separate house. The matter allegedly came to light when she approached a bank regarding a housing loan and learned that liabilities worth approximately Rs 2.5 crore were already linked to her name. Family members claimed that her signatures did not appear on the relevant loan documents and that subsequent checks of her CIBIL records revealed about the huge loan. Her father, Pramod Kumar, alleged that the discovery of the loans caused immense mental distress to his daughter. He further claimed that the loans included financing linked to vehicles and business-related activities. The family has also accused Piyush of maintaining an extra-marital relationship with a nurse employed at the same hospital. According to the complainants, Meenakshi became suspicious and later examined CCTV footage from the hospital, which they claim supported her suspicions. The family said the footage has been handed over to the police as part of the investigation. Her parents further alleged that she had been subjected to physical assault and harassment. They claimed there had been previous incidents of violence and that Piyush would occasionally contact them after altercations, expressing regret over his behaviour. Parents also claimed that last year he tried to kill her by strangling. “We are being told it is a suicide, but we do not know whether it was suicide or something else. The postmortem examination will reveal the truth,” she said. The family has demanded the immediate arrest of Piyush and a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to Meenakshi’s death, including the alleged financial transactions and claims of harassment. The media persons tried contacting Piyush, but no response was made till the filing of this report.

A 22-year-old woman, an IIT graduate and the daughter of a senior bureaucrat, was found dead at her home in southeast Delhi's East of Kailash area. Police said she was raped before being strangled to death with a phone charger. She was alone at home at the time of the incident. There were no signs of forced entry. Police have arrested a 19-year-old domestic help, Rahul, who had worked at the house and was dismissed over a month ago. "Investigations revealed that he used to play online games and would borrow money from other servants in the vicinity, or from domestic staff working in nearby households, without ever repaying them. This is why he was fired," Joint Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said. He was arrested from a hotel in the Dwarka area, where he had been hiding. He is being charged with rape, murder and robbery, police said. Rahul was seen in CCTV footage leaving the victim's residence at 6:28 am, police said. According to police, the woman was found by her family members inside the house under suspicious circumstances, after which the authorities were alerted. The victim had completed her schooling at DPS RK Puram and later graduated from IIT Delhi. She was preparing for the UPSC examination. She was also a dancer and had won several awards in dance competitions. Her elder brother holds a senior position in a multinational company, and her mother is a doctor. When police reached Rahul's residence in Alwar, they found that he had previously been involved in a sexual harassment case. Police said the accused arrived in Delhi from Alwar the previous night and is suspected to have entered the house using a spare key. Police said Rahul had been hired with a reference from a superintendent posted at the IRS officer's office.
