Why does black ops 2 look so much better

just the sky mostly, the colors and detail are significantly better in the newer game. The sky adds an aura and makes no sense from my POV why they would ignore it in the remakes.

@Ohsniped999 I don't know how you could say that when B02 meltdown has much more detail when it comes to textures, especially the complexity of the building shapes. When you look at B07 everything is flat and smooth with no soul. The world doesn't look lived in.

@Ohsniped999 Using a screenshot that doesnt show that the textures in BO2 are flat 360p and BO7 has been set to lower settings for dramatic effect (That was very effective). Side by side video shows how much improved BO7 is over BO2 and that you prefer the skybox and art style more.

@ChromiumAtom @Ohsniped999 You're neglecting the point, which is detail breakup. There's no reason why a 13yo game should have a more complex artstyle. This isn't something you can defend, call it lazy and move on. We know the details are sharper etc but it's meaningless if the CHOICE of details are shit.

Bo7 Looks imo better in EVERY aspect its Just a fact but on some Maps for bo2 the skybox IS Just more unique with a Sunset vibe thats it. There are Maps in bo7 that has a cool skybox too Like oddesseus or how its called

yeah it is worth showing, since an image wasnt enough of a comparison when there are multiple parts of the map and multiple maps to compare, so I did my own.

the real problem with both hijacked and meltdown Imo is the skybox, cause the lighting is the exact same on both but the skybox is extremely bright on both which doesn't fit the lighting.

The lighting on those BO2 maps makes them look better artistically.

BO2 has better grittiness and map details imo at least on these examples, but the lighting and color is much better on BO7

Call of duty has been selling nostalgia for the better part of a decade and people are still falling for it. You can buy the same game every year but you can never re-create those memories you once had.

I dont like how games look so refined and sharp now almost to good. I like the old school appearance. It felt more like a game back then

Deep down, I kinda felt bad that I don't play PVP anymore in modern CODs (I only play PVE modes, like zombies or Endgame). I was kinda sad I won't experience the BO2 maps "remastered" in BO7. That was until I saw Meltdown & I thought "maybe they should just stay in my memories".
