Black Ops 3 on Xbox360 was something else😭

Without it we never would have gotten this gem

I swear this version of the game was like pre-pre-PRE alpha and they decided to ship it for last gen consoles

I remember being a broke 14-15 year old when this came out and I bought it for PS3 at GameStop at the midnight release. PS3 footage leaked and I asked the guy at GameStop if that was the final look of the game. Bro told me there would be a graphics update once it launched.

BO3 on Xbox 360/PS3 was intentionally made bad to convince people to buy a Xbox One or a PS4, yeah, that was just another dirty trick by Activision

Funny how this looks and sounds worse than Halo 3

The weirdest part is that the raw animations in the files are actually the same as regular BO3, but they tried to do some in-engine optimization to save console resources and it was effectively useless because it saved nothing and we just got shitty looking animations.

Black Ops 3 on 360 is such a bizarre entry in the franchise, and I think it should be preserved. Vote to show you want it backwards compatible here!

I was too poor to have an xbox one back then, so I played this on the 360 and I thought it looked so much better than it does back then lol

Yeah graphically bo3 was meant to be next gen but having such unfinished animations was done on purpose and is fucking bullshit.

if you're wondering why it looks like that, there's a level of detail system for animations in the bo3 engine, so that animations can be less detailed/ easier to process when rendered far away. literally removes frames from animations. they put it on the view model. why.

I’m looking at this and can’t help but think ‘this is on purpose’ 360/PS3 gave us MW1 to Blops 2 which are well performed games in there day. The engine hasn’t changed besides graphic fidelity and frame rate. These animations seem unique to purposely drop quality.

The locus bolt helping the user by coming out on it's own is beautiful

its a pity they bricked the multiplayer of this game, it was so bad that it was actually fun

funny I get BO3 post after wasting 2 days trying to get black ops 3 to run (I couldn't, just kept crashing, I just wanted to play campaign again)

I feel bad for the studio who was handed off the task of recreating this game in 6 months at a time where most cod studios had at least 2 years to work it out
