Not to ruin the video, but that police officer must have slept through the penal code section of the academy. If he had waited until she left the store, he would have the elements of a crime. The fact he arrested her while she was still cruising the aisles makes this one dead in the water for prosecution. Retraining, buddy.

This is my style of officer. Once a crime is for sure committed, harsh, quick, stern, takes no bullshit. The only thing is I’d have arrested the other woman too: - Acessory of theft (97% chance planned) - Conspiracy to felony shoplifting. - Parked in a handicap spot with a random handicap tag. - Distespectful - Resists ID. That was an excellent opportunity to drag 2 criminals thru court for a long time so they keep venting out to their hood friends that maybe stealing isn’t worth it in the long run. The incident was Aug 13, 2025 at a CVS in Lehigh Acres, FL (Lee County Sheriff's Office). Woman caught concealing ~$900 in stolen merch (conditioner, perfume, etc.) inside a baby stroller. She resisted arrest, pulled away, demanded a supervisor repeatedly, and her car (parked in handicapped spot w/ fake decal) smelled of cannabis. Sister in car also arrested. Both charged with theft ($750–$5k) + resisting/obstruction. No reports or news of the deputy getting sued. Bodycam shows standard handling of a non-compliant suspect.
