BlackRock CEO Larry Fink: Tokenization will change finance forever “There are slews of middleman in the financial services area. We have elongated settlement and elongated processes. If we could digitize every asset and have a more seamless way of going from a digital wallet of cash or a stablecoin...

Why BlackRock CEO Larry Fink calls Ethereum "The Toll Road to Tokenization" "What he meant by that is assets will be tokenized, people will transact, and then each of those transactions will pay a fee to the Ethereum network. Part of that fee will be burned and decrease the supply of ETH. The other part will be paid to stakers. So it's kind of like a toll road for anyone who wants to transact with tokenized assets." "The first example of product/market fit with tokenization was stablecoins. There are a lot of reasons why a tokenized dollar is better than one on fiat rails. But the big things are accessibility -- it gives people around the world who don't have access to the US financial system access to dollars -- and reducing the friction of settling those transactions. If you've had to send a wire or ACH transfer, it takes days. Stablecoins settle instantly, so it's way more efficient. You've even heard Jamie Dimon come around to the advantages of stablecoins." "Stablecoins are really just tokenized dollars, and then that's going to happen with almost every asset class. Stocks will be next. People are talking a bout tokenizing art and real estate. The theme is 'the tokenization of everything.' And as all of these assets move on chain because more people can access them and the friction of transacting with them is reduced, trillions of dollars of assets will move on-chain... and Ethereum will be the global settlement layer for all of those transactions, and all of those transactions will generate a fee to ETH holders, which is why your ETH will compound."

Coinbase CEO: Tokenization will be great for asset management companies “I think [tokenization] will create more demand for funds and products. I think it’s going to democratize access and reduce a lot of the back office fees and costs to operate that type of business. More broadly, this term ‘tokenization’ is the idea that you have an underlying asset and then you make a digital token that 1:1 represents it. The first case we’ve seen this take off with is stablecoins… that’s the tokenization of the dollar. That took off and is doing great. It’s a huge growth area. We’re now seeing the tokenization of all these other asset classes — this can happen in real estate, private credit, and the funds that BlackRock, Apollo, and these firms put out. I think it’s going to just create more demand for their products essentially.” The world's largest asset managers are already doing this, and they're building on Ethereum: - BlackRock's BUIDL fund: ~$2.4B in tokenized U.S. Treasuries - JPMorgan's MONY: tokenized money market fund, seeded with $100M - Franklin Templeton's BENJI: $680M+ on-chain government money fund - Fidelity's FDIT: tokenized money market fund launched on Ethereum - Ondo Finance: $1.4B+ across tokenized Treasury products - WisdomTree, Hashnote, Superstate, Amundi, SocGen FORGE — all live Tokenized money market funds alone grew from $3B to $9B in a single year. Ethereum hosts ~57% of all tokenized real-world assets by value. Source: Norges Bank (Mar 2026)

Creating a New Debt Sink by Tokenizing the World "Digital Money, Digital Control – Episode 4: Tokenizing the Planet with Mark Goodwin (markgoodw.in 🥪) and Whitney Webb (Whitney Webb)" Join us on Telegram: Mark Goodwin—joined by Whitney Webb—returns with the final episode of his four-part Digital Money, Digital Control series. The topic is “Tokenizing the Planet.” Tokenization, as defined by strategy and management consulting firm McKinsey, “is the process of creating a digital representation of a real thing” on a blockchain network—with the underlying goal being to “make assets more accessible.” Blockchain enthusiasts are marketing the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs)—from “art and collectibles to real estate, stocks, commodities, and even personal data”—as “one of the most compelling applications of blockchain technology, revolutionizing how we perceive and interact with various forms of value.” In this presentation, Goodwin and Webb pull the curtain back on this agenda, explaining that RWAs, carbon credits, and Earth itself are being positioned to become the new dollar debt sink. Key pillars of the “tokenized play” include the land grab—which we described at length in our Plunder report—and the planetwide surveillance and inventorying of assets that makes plunder possible. By way of illustration, Goodwin and Webb discuss the O.N.E. Amazon initiative, which, as they have written, “seeks to turn the Amazon rainforest into a digital asset security to be chopped up, tokenized and sold off to investors around the world as a novel form of digital credit.” Whatever your role in the financial markets—as an investor, asset manager, financial planner, pension fund beneficiary, or concerned citizen—tokenization has the potential to rock your business and your world, not to mention global geopolitics. You will want to start to learn about what it is and what it means to you. Accessing Goodwin and Webb’s introduction is an excellent way to do so. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink on stage at a major conference just dropped the mask: He called both gold and Bitcoin "assets of fear" - things you only buy when you're scared of currency debasement, financial instability, or even "physical insecurities." Then, in the same breath, he got visibly excited about the real future: tokenizing BlackRock's entire $5.3 trillion ETF empire (and eventually all financial assets) onto blockchain. His exact vision: - Every stock, bond, and fund sitting on "a singularity of a blockchain" - You hold everything in a digital wallet - Swap instantly from stablecoins bonds stocks cash with virtually no fees and no middlemen - "This is going to happen sooner, not later." Watch him say it himself (full clip from the conference attached) Critical reality check: The same Larry Fink who dismissed Bitcoin as an "index of money laundering" a few years ago, whose firm owns massive stakes in nearly every S&P 500 company, sits at the heart of the WEF's corporate network, and manages $11.5+ trillion, now wants to control the rails of the tokenized financial system. Decentralization in theory, BlackRock custody in practice? The biggest asset manager on earth becoming the plumbing owner of the next financial era isn't exactly the "trustless" future many early crypto believers had in mind. You tell me - revolution or the most elegant power grab ever dressed up as innovation? (No investment advice, just verbatim quotes from a public conference appearance)
