Blade (1998)

That was one bad ass scene

One of the best openings for a movie.

Remember watching this in the theater. It will NEVER be remade in this fashion. This movie was a combination of perfect cast, violence, swagger and directing. Only @wesleysnipes can bring Blade to life. Gotta give that man his flowers.

Still the best Marvel movie

This is going to be kind of a weird comment. My favorite part about blade is that he's fucking cool. The fact that he's black makes me a little more endear to him and that is very superficial. I just remember seeing this scene and thinking how cool this dude is. When I was younger I didn't really care if my superheroes looked like me or my father, I do now. It's not the only thing that will keep me interested in a character, but it's definitely something that piques my interest. I'm more than likely willing to give a new character a shot based on ethnicity and that's not necessarily right. However, I will never stay a fan of a character simply because of their ethnicity. You got to be cool and blade is.

Has to be the best comic book hero entry of all time. The look, the feel, the atmosphere and that menacing smile right before HELL broke loose. Apologies Michael Keaton. 🥃

I can hear the music as soon as I see the intro to the scene. Iconic.
