And so it was last night, when one of Daniel's best friends, Alex Romo, got to watch his former high school teammate play baseball on a Major League field in Atlanta, GA. How can you not be romantic about baseball? Man! I love this game!

I need to talk about this 🥺 The fact that, even knowing they would be leaving early for their fan meetings in Frankfurt and Spain, WilliamEst still took the time to plan and prepare matching outfits for Outing… And even though they knew they’d be spending an entire week together afterward, they still didn’t leave each other’s side during it. What I love most is the way they keep choosing each other. Not because they have to, but because they want to. They already spent outing together, they were about to work and travel together, and yet they still decided to fly to Frankfurt early just to enjoy a full day before work. Then, with the few free days their schedules allowed, they turned them into a little vacation in Spain. But my favorite part is that none of this was meant to replace outing. Showing up there together, in matching outfits, was never up for discussion. It had to happen, because that’s their tradition. They’ve been doing this since 2024, even when some people weren’t happy to see them together. They still chose to match. They still chose to show up as a pair. Because to them, it mattered then, and it still matters now.

This woke me up this am, a text from my uncle. “Everyone is complaining that baseball is broken because the Dodgers got Tarik Skubal.” Bruce Harper says it best here. I don’t remember people complaining about a needed salary cap in MLB when the Yankees were winning 4 World Series in five years between 1996-2000. But the Dodgers start winning World Series, which they had not won for 32 years, a span from 1988-2020, and now everyone wants a salary cap and is complaining. Thats called an East Coast Bias. 💯 It’s not the Dodgers fault, as Bryce says, that they have perfected everything. Their farm system is the best, their tv contract is the best, their players are the best and fit the mold they are looking for. They have one of the best stadiums and their tradition is right up there with the Yankees and Red Sox. The Tigers made a terrible trade. Zyhir Hope is just another Raul Mondesi/Yasiel Puig player. He wasn’t even in their top 3 rookie outfielders like De Paula, Tibbs and Sirota. And, River Ryan and Brady Smith have already both had Tommy John surgeries in their young careers. The Dodgers were thought to have at least given up Emmet Sheehan, a ready MLB pitcher AND the prospects. Nope! Every other team like the Yankees, Braves, Cubs, Brewers, Phillies and Red Sox could have made an offer, a better offer, but they chose not to. MLB doesn’t need a salary cap what they need is for Major League Baseball to take control of all the teams TV rights and then distribute the money from those deals evenly across baseball, not just a percentage, but evenly. It’s those TV contracts where you see the biggest disparity and that would take care of that disparity immediately. Don’t blame the Dodgers because they have perfected everything. Blame other teams for running a poor organization. I waited 32 years for this. I’ll enjoy it.

Some of them turned down the role as they felt the character was violent. One day, Dennis Hopper called David Lynch and said, "David, you have to let me play Frank because I am Frank'." That phone call scared the hell out of David Lynch and so Hopper was cast in the movie. David Lynch on the character of Frank Booth: ""Frank is totally in love. He just doesn't know how to show it. He may have gotten into some strange things but he's still motivated by positive things." Frank, to me, is a guy Americans know very well. Wait why is it turned into an issue? If you simply look at the situation objectively, both Jimmy’s and Fot’s cars were waiting for Sea and Gemini, and both lanes were holding up traffic. The boys were running late for some reason. So, in order to get things moving, the man in the black shirt seemed to tell the manager to move Jimmy into Fot’s car so that at least one lane could clear while they were still waiting for Sea and Gemini to come out. You can see that shortly after Jimmy moved to Fot’s car, they all started leaving. Eventually, when Sea and Gemini came out, they all took the last car. So… what exactly is the problem here? I’m not a fan of her either, but everyone was simply doing their jobs and trying to manage the situation. There is literally nothing wrong with what happened. The fact that this even needs to be explained is already absurd. 🫩
