Today seemed, IMO, to be a significant statement practice for Jacob Cowing. He grabbed one of Brock Purdy's numerous (perfect) deep passes but it goes deeper than that. HIGHLIGHTS: 🏈A few minutes earlier, Cowing and Marques Sigle collided on a deep corner attempt. Cowing was down for a while and limped off — it even looked like his day might be over. But Cowing returned and made the best catch I've seen from him in a 49ers uniform on a 40-yard laser over the middle. The resilience there definitely counts for something, especially considering Cowing's early-career availability issues 🏈Nick Bosa sighting! Did some running on the field while the 49ers were practicing for the first time in a couple weeks. Looked good. Shedeur Sanders isn’t running a 40 at the #NFLCombine —so as a former NFL Scout, I did the next best thing —I timed him running 40 yards during a game two years ago to see how fast he is. I got 5.37 seconds. I timed him with a stopwatch from his first step at the 50 until he reached the 10. What time did you get? I had to go back two years because Sanders only has one run in his 4 year college career over 40 yards on his ESPN stats page —and it was in this game when he played for FCS Jackson State vs. Southern in 2022. I didn’t tweet from last night’s practice as I was focused on spending time with my family. But I’ve seen a lot of negative responses to Eagles QB Jalen Hurts throwing interceptions in practice, both from the media and fans. What I don’t understand is how can people demand a new offense, that prioritizes passing to the middle of the field and then not want to live with the growing pains of doing so? If Hurts throws a ton of interceptions during the regular season, especially after the first few weeks of the regular season, I get it. But right now? In the words of Allen Iverson…

GPT-5.5 is MUCH more reliable on longer running tasks - for the first time with any model. As we speak I have a migration running for over 7+ hours - this literally never happened before, the models would maybe run for 30 mins or of you really shout at them for 2-3 hours. Last night I went to sleep, set a long running task, then queued up 10 prompts to 'keep it going'. It did not stop after the first prompt and kept going for 8+ hours and I woke up to all the same prompts still queued up. The ability to run for a long time, in combination with ability to validate with computer use & other tools, makes it much more useful for building real applications.

49ers just wrapped up Block 2 of camp with a reminder of how good Brock Purdy is — even without his top 3 WR (Evans/Stribling injuries are NOT serious), Purdy's offense managed some crisp success: 🏈Demarcus Robinson was Purdy's favorite WR, reminiscent of when 49ers beat Philly with a skeleton crew. 49ers just wrapped up Block 2 of camp with a reminder of how good Brock Purdy is — even without his top 3 WR (Evans/Stribling injuries are NOT serious), Purdy's offense managed some crisp success: 🏈Demarcus Robinson was Purdy's favorite WR, reminiscent of when 49ers beat Philly with a skeleton crew. The deep out was the duo's bread and better 🏈Best play: Excellent one-handed catch from TE Brayden Willis on a corner route from Mac Jones. 🏈Deommodore Lenoir had two more PBUs — including one on a Purdy-Robinson deep out.
