Blinken is shouted down by another pro-ceasefire demonstrator and there are many more in the hearing room

a third demonstrator interrupts Blinken's opening statement

and a fourth

a group of demonstrators interrupts Blinken's opening statement for a fifth time and this time for an extended period

Blinken: "I also hear very much the passions expressed in this room and outside this room. All of us are committed to the protection of civilian life. All of us know the suffering that is taking place we speak. All of us are determined to see it end."

Blinken: "When it comes to a ceasefire. In this moment ... that would simply consolidate what Hamas has been able to do and allow it to remain where it is and potentially repeated what it did another day. And that's not tolerable. No nation would tolerate it."
