Blizzard just BACKTRACKED on a LIFETIME ban This player, Neilcat, he's been playing since 2004 until six months ago when he was permanently banned for unauthorized cheat programs. He claimed he had never touched a cheat program ever. Over the course of the next six months, he sent 50... tickets, every single one of them getting an automated response that Blizzard had done a thorough investigation and the penalty would be upheld. Until today, when Game Master Omeyuson reached out and determined that the ban had been incorrectly applied to the account and therefore had been removed. Blizzard, for the inconveniences they may have caused, have given mr neilkat six months of Free game time as a courtesy for this incident.. So that's it. Two of my guildies had this happen during Phase 2. One of them was unbanned after quite a few weeks with no official response from Blizzard directly. Shit is ridiculous. Good to hear this player did get his account back regardless.

This is why they need to bring back human GM’s.

They did it to me for manipulating the economy. I only had 100g. I paid $1k for a Twitter ad campaign bad mouthing Blizzard, and wrote them a bunch about suing them. They restored my account before Naxx came out in 3 days. My Twitter account was banned around the same time to stop the ad campaign.

Happened to me too they took it from permanent ban to 6 mo suspension but all I can ever get is automated responses too. Added a secondary account on my BNet and been back playing, but still sucks.

If I had been playing WoW since launch, I would have expected to receive whatever limited-time content was made available and gone in that 6 month period as well.

Same happened to me in Overwatch 1. Banned for cheating (never used anything bad), I protested and asked for details and them to check again - sry, final decision is made.Years later mail from Bliz saying sorry, our bad. No compensation btw. I asked about compensation - no reply.

Yeah it's been years that the only solution to not have bad expérience with blizzard support is to not have issue first. Game master don't exist anymore, it's standard automated response with a tiny layers of rp on top. They kept fclosing their local office in other country

I miss the old good times when a person helped you inside the game, even a GM appeared near you. Blizzard is doing shit things since long long ago. To be honest, I hope this new classic they will present is bullshit and do not make me play it for nostalgia.

I remember the old days where they just random banned the people and expected them to return because they are so addicted to the game that a lot people needed psychological help

The CS leading up to the beginning of Shadowlands was fantastic. It all went downhill after the incident. Which we have all been recently told was a big lie. Go figure.

The same thing happened to me on call of duty however I can't reach an actual person at @Activision so I've just given up. I can't even play single player campaigns

I played Overwatch 2 for less than 10 hours and stopped because it wasn’t for me. 1 year later after never playing I was banned. @BlizzardCS pretty much told me to fuck off and refuses to help. It’s sad how they treat normal people vs streamers
