Blizzard Just Got Called Out WoW Forever is doing BIG numbers, including the biggest viewership numbers on Twitch since 2020 but one player has noticed an issue. Blizzard promised "approachable and familiar" game design in most zones, the big ending bosses (if the zones even have those) are things... like a Yeti in Dun Morogh, or Princess and Hogger in Elwynn Forest but in the new zone Zephras Isle..you encounter a djinn lord (Rohash) and of course need all the help of important leaders to stave off impending doom players are having a great time in the new game, but they just want Blizzard to keep Blizzard from writing things too epic right out of the gate is that going to be possible for Blizzard though? i am having the most fun ive ever had playing wow. but keeping blizz writing in check is a small thing that is worth fighting for. this game should have grounded stories and lore

Ngl, this is the only thing they're capable of writing so it doesn't surprise me. It'll end up being one epic thing after the other and we'll become "Azeroth's Greatest Champions" yet again

i just hope the callouts players made will help. because ultimately they nailed the core gameplay. so if the writing stays grounded this will be a massive win

thats an interesting point. its the lack of credit that probably is the main difference. the npcs in the skyborne area treat you as important. that is not the case elsewhre

they are nailing it so far. ive never had more fun playing wow. but part of that is that everyone is lvl 20 or lower. the lvl 60 grind burns me out xD

Exactly! Forever is incredible, best time I've had in WoW in years. That's exactly why the small stuff is worth flagging now: easy to fix before the next quests ship. Keep loving it AND keep saying it 😄

I think this is the wrong take and approach. All of the other races were established in Warcraft lore except gnomes. Skyborn needs to flesh out and they need an epic “breakout” to match the other races.

Id be more worried that they didnt touch the old zone quests at all and the new zone is awesome while they didnt touch anything about the others.

ofc developers speak of how good and "epic" their game is before release, would be daft not to and every single developer does this...

This is necessary to bring the Skyborne to the Alliance/Horde though. The entire starting area for them is great and this is a good capstone to leaving, to gather more power and allies in preparation for a greater future threat. This is on par with Deadmines or RFC, not Princess.
