The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, the long, narrow 2,000-foot stretch of water running from the Lincoln Memorial toward the Washington Monument, which people sometimes call the pointy tower. It was recently drained, cleaned of algae and debris, and the bottom coated in bright “American flag blue” paint to fix leaks and make it look cleaner. That’s exactly what’s lit up on the bottom right now, that vivid blue coating. It’s part of the same big beautification push as the fountains. There was some “8647” graffiti sprayed on it while it was drained, but that was vandalism, not part of the project. The Park Police cleaned it up. That’s the only other thing anyone’s reported seeing down there. I’d love to see TRUMP light up the Reflection pool, what do you think?

I’m an artist. I understand how light works. I know the dress is blue and black, I’ve ONLY ever seen it as blue and black… I cannot even comprehend how people see it as white and gold, I’ve NEVER been able to trick my brain into seeing it that way, I’ve never understood how people see white and gold, I thought for the longest time that people were making it up for attention or something. Idk if anyone else gets this. Seems like the majority of people are team White and Gold but I just genuinely don’t understand how. By: lucanbiswas17
