BLUETOOTH PENTEST This is my favorite tool called Gretel. One of the PenTest tools I developed. It is used to attack bluetooth devices. Suppose there is a loud Bluetooth speaker in public or loud music from a neighbor and you’re within range, and its address is B6:3C:2C:R1:2B:07. You can shut it off like this. Attack Steps - Scan for Bluetooth Devices: Use the Gretel script to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices, including the loud Bluetooth speaker. - Select the Device: Identify the loud Bluetooth speaker from the list of discovered devices using its MAC address (e.g., B6:3C:2C:R1:2B:07). - Flood the Device: Specify the number of ping requests you want to send to the speaker. This flooding can overwhelm the speaker's Bluetooth connection, causing it to become unresponsive or disconnect. - Disconnect the Device: After sending the specified number of pings, the script will attempt to disconnect the speaker from any active connections PoC: I’m using my C10 Bluetooth speaker and I’m trying to connect to it using my phone and connection failed because attack was ongoing; when attack ended, device connected successfully 🤝🙌🏼🙌🏼. This is for educational purpose. Tool is 100% working

The only integrity check is a trivial single-byte XOR checksum, which can be easily recalculated by an attacker. This allows any Bluetooth device to inject arbitrary transaction commands without the terminal being able to verify the command's origin or authenticity.

Bluetooth devices can be weaponized to remotely listen to your conversations within a few minutes. This vulnerability exists in many types and a lot of tests are still being conducted to verify them. Should you see your phone trying to forcibly connect to a bluetooth device you do not know, deny and turn it off for a few minutes. An attacker could just be forcing you into a mode to get unauthorized access to whatever you are saying. BeWare and BeAware

Okay, here's a crazy Windows 11 bug... I connected to Bluetooth on Windows 11, and the volume keeps jumping from 50 to 100 on its own, and every time I try to bring it down, it immediately forces itself back, like it’s fighting user input 😂 It’s funny at first, but this is exactly the kind of basic reliability issue that shouldn’t exist in Windows 11. It's not a hardware issue, as restarting Windows and repairing Bluetooth fixes it. Microsoft says 2026 will focus on fixing core Windows problems, and honestly, Bluetooth stability and audio controls need to be part of that push.

This man has a Bluetooth vibration plate that you stand on He wakes up in the middle of the night and people are talking on it, you can actually hear the conversation 2 people are clearly speaking through his vibration plate From what I can find on Reddit, there are a lot of other people that have had this happen to them too Apparently the device has a built-in speaker that doubles as a Bluetooth audio receiver and speaker, and it can connect to nearby phones even if your own Bluetooth is off So it’s essentially picking up someone else’s signal and playing it through your vibration plate

A 16-year-old boy passenger reportedly renamed a Bluetooth device "BOMB." The device name appeared on nearby phones, other passengers' IFEs, and crew devices, triggering standard security protocols. The Purser announced on the loudspeaker that all passengers must turn off Bluetooth devices. This instruction was repeated multiple times, but the device was still on, prompting a U-turn back to Newark where the flight was met by security.

PlayStation 3 controller on an XBOX 360.. wired and wireless with a cheap Amazon Basics bluetooth dongle and an Adafruit Feather. DualShock3 used an ancient Bluetooth pairing process. You had to physically connect it to the console with a USB cable, so that the console could tell it what MAC address to connect to.
