South African opposition leader Julius Malema of the EFF political party has rejected the ANC’s decision to form a government of national unity, as announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa. Malema tweeted, "We can’t share power with the enemy," after Ramaphosa’s announcement of a GNU involving every political party that won seats in parliament. The enemy is perceived to be the DA, South Africa’s second biggest political party. The EFF came fourth behind Jacob Zuma’s MK party, the DA, and the ANC, but none of them won a full mandate to govern the country. In this video, Malema says he doesn’t want a GNU but a coalition, meaning he prefers a coalition of ideologically aligned political parties. A GNU is also a coalition, but the two terms are being used loosely.
