BJP leader allegedly assaults a young man after calling him to an arbitration meeting in Alambazar, Baranagar The incident took place in the Amtala area of Alambazar, under Ward No. 7 of Baranagar Municipality. A local resident, Hemanta Sau, who works as a government school teacher, reportedly identifies himself as a BJP leader in the area. This time, he allegedly organized an arbitration meeting in the locality. According to the claim, not only was the meeting held, but youths were also threatened, and one young man was allegedly brought in by local boys and severely beaten with slaps, kicks, and punches. A video of the incident has reportedly gone viral. When Hemanta Sau was contacted by phone regarding the matter, he reportedly did not wish to comment.
