Bob Dylan - Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat Faced with hecklers, Dylan appeases them with โthis is a folk songโ, only for he and The Hawks to explode into a snide, hard-driving blues about fashionistas. In other words: go folk yourselves. From the Adelphi Theatre, Dublin. 1966.

Superb. Most performers give the audience what they want. Not Bob. He gives the audience what he wants.

And in style. A paying audience whoโd had two albums to get used to his new sound as well. In the mood for no shit, and letting them have it. Absolutely love this

I laugh so much when he says "this is a folk song." His voice is so innocent. The great betrayal of the decade: Dylan went electric. As if his songs weren't always born in thunder and lightning!

Pleasing no one bar himself, and smirking as he does so

The concert footage may be from Dublin but the vox pops after are from the Manchester concert (the accents give it away..)

Indeed. Itโs Dublin though

Always love these clips because The Band sound absolutely fantastic.

They did that. From this evidence alone a lot of their fire, at least electrically, was dimmed down after their Hawks-to-Band crossover

Robbie Robertson, tele bite. Thatโs the tweet

Iโve always rated the Robster very highly as a guitarist
