Know could search it but do you happen to know when was the most recent time in which did a show w/backup singers? Am totally fascinated by his shapeshifting abilities, it's like being into easily 10+ ppl but it's all one man Appreciate learning abt the mid-80s onward time ❤️

I honestly don’t know for sure—I’m going to guess late ’80s? I know he’s done one-off performances, like this one with the McCrary Sisters in 2012.

Ty - have many unread books but skimmed Pledging My Time (read a random chapter last weekend - Regina McCrary) Maybe why was thinking abt the idea of a 'conductor' :) RR/trains ❤️ Fr though, beyond organized anything, totally believe in BD's sincerity (seeking truth, doing good)

I believe that too, Julia, wholeheartedly. I also agree with Regina. 🙏🏻🎶❤️

This to me is the #1 thing, like to care about virture in the big picture 💚 That's why care what has to say - well, plus the unqiue coolness ❤️ Read after '81 tour, no touring for abt 2.5 years (Infidels-wise, recorded spring '83, tour spring '84) - not much 'off' time since?

This makes me want to cry. 🥲 And yes, regarding virtue. I love this lyric from “’Cross the Green Mountain” (one of his very best, IMO). 💚

Bob Dylan songs can have so many layers - thinking abt some old memories didn't want to think abt assoc w/buc-ee's 😎 fr, 'killed ... by his own men' idea of not friendly fire but own ppl metaphorically destroyed, turned on him? LNS 'what really mattered?' Right.❤️ Sword time :)

So many layers. They can mean so many things. And the meanings can change and deepen over time. I know they have for me. 💙

I love that version. Plus triangle dots!

Awesome…thanks! Couldn’t catch all of the 2nd verse, but I think he just rhymed ‘criminal’ with ‘subliminal’… Which is amazing and hilarious…

Interesting. First time seeing it for me. Do you know anything about the lyric changes? Curious if this was just aversion he was performing at the time or if the lyrics were especially changed for this occasion.

Great band by the way

Fuckin Wild!!

I wonder if they made him sing that song. It sure has some interesting new lyrics.
