The Bhojpuri industry is often criticised for being vulgar, even though every film industry does the same. But when it comes to being unapologetic, Bhojpuri always leads. This song is dedicated to the Hindus killed in Pahalgam. Its lyrics reflect exactly what happened there — Hindus were killed after their religion was confirmed. Some people may find it inappropriate or cringe, question the timing but I believe it’s not wrong. In the past, poems and songs were commonly composed after tragedies — whether to celebrate bravery or to honour sacrifices. And it's the perfect time to tell the people what exactly happened there as there are still a lot of people who don't have news access like us. Such songs connect at the grassroots level, especially with the youth — and it will work in our favour.
