Bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities was the single most important foreign policy decision of President Trump’s second term. I am not interested in forever wars — but that doesn’t mean you run away from the world.

Weakness and appeasement from previous administrations got us into this mess to begin with. President Trump isn’t going to engage in forever wars, but that doesn’t mean we embrace Kamala Harris and Barack Obama’s foreign policy.

Trump’s first term was unambiguously the best of any President in the 21st century. Growing economy. Sealed border. No wars. But the second term will be even better. Amazing night in Las Vegas. 🇺🇸

French🇫🇷 President Emmanuel Macron casually admits that Donald Trump’s bombing of Iran’s🇮🇷 nuclear facilities were illegal under international law This is the essence of the ‘rules-based order’; rules for thee, but not for me. International law is only supposed to contain the global south, while letting neocolonial Europe and Washington run rampant doing whatever they like.

CCP's Foreign Minister Wang Yi once again condemned the U.S. bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, stating that this action sets a dangerous precedent. If it triggers a nuclear disaster, the whole world will have to pay the price. It will open Pandora’s box. “Pandora’s box” is a term favored by the Chinese Communist Party, implying that an evil plan is underway. #CCP

Which brings us to the turning point. All of this only matters if it ends with Iran’s theocracy on the brink of collapse. If it doesn’t, everything that’s been gained could be erased. “All of this chaos and all of this war will be for not if Iran’s theocracy emerges intact from this war,” he said. Even more dangerous, he added, would be a scenario in which the country’s nuclear infrastructure survives or can be quickly rebuilt. That possibility has triggered one of the most urgent strategic questions on the table: Can Israel finish the job? Or will it need help from the United States to strike Iran’s deeply buried nuclear facilities? This is where things get complicated. Under the “America First” foreign policy doctrine, Trump has been clear: no more forever wars, no more ground troops in the Middle East. But Hanson argued that Trump’s actions tell a deeper story. “I’m not an isolationist, I’m a Jacksonian,” he said, echoing what Trump might say. “You should have known that when I took out Soleimani… when I took out Baghdadi… when I took out the Wagner Group.” The message? Trump doesn’t go looking for wars. But when deterrence is at stake, he’s not afraid to act decisively.

Former U.S. Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns tells me that if President Trump does not move forward with the congressionally-approved Taiwan arms package, it would be “a major strategic move” and “the greatest mistake of Trump’s foreign policy in this second term.”

The regime had options and they chose terrorism. I stand with President Trump’s decision as it was necessary to stop 47 years of terror. This however is not Iraq or Afghanistan and we will not have the forever wars of previous administrations.
