🚨💣 Bombshell Update If confirmed, this could present some very awkward questions for Israel’s leadership. Tribal forces just uncovered a warehouse full of Grad missiles, the kind Hezbollah has used in past attacks on the Golan Heights. Like the Lebanese army, the Internal Security Forces are unable to confront Hezbollah on the issue of weapons. The “Hezbollah state” has the power to arrest (in effect, kidnap) members of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces and negotiate with the Lebanese state for their release. On January 23, 2026, a police patrol of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces, ISF (قوى الامن الداخلي ) stopped two Hezbollah trucks in the Al-Tayoune (الطيونة) area of Beirut, near a police station and military base. The trucks were parked suspiciously, had no license plates, and had tinted windows. When the police patrol approached to check the trucks, Hezbollah operatives attacked the patrol. At the end of the confrontation, Hezbollah operatives detained one of the security forces personnel and managed to prevent the patrol from uncovering the contents of the trucks. According to local reports, the trucks were carrying Hezbollah military equipment that had been smuggled from Syria through one of the illegal border crossings with Lebanon. The Hezbollah trucks continued on their way toward the “security square” in Dahiya. In light of the incident, negotiations began between the State of Lebanon and the “State of Hezbollah.” Hezbollah's representative in the negotiations was Ali Ayoub, head of Hezbollah's Security Committee, which is in effect the independent police force of the “State of Hezbollah.” Following the negotiations, Hezbollah released the security forces officer it had detained and promised to hand over the trucks to the security forces at a “later date.” In practice, this means that the trucks and their contents will not be handed over to the security forces. The Hezbollah operatives involved were not arrested or investigated. Hezbollah does as it pleases in Lebanon. This is yet another test case, this time in the context of internal security forces, which demonstrates the inability of the Lebanese security forces in general to confront Hezbollah on the issue of weapons. Attached is a report from the Lebanese "MTV" channel about the incident.

Ok so here’s what’s happening. For the past few days, pagers and radios used by Hezbollah terrorists to communicate and coordinate attacks on Israelis have been exploding. This is a major development in a war that began nearly a year ago, when Hezbollah, in coordination with Hamas, joined the attacks on Israel. On October 7 Hamas invaded Israel, murdering thousands of Israeli civilians and kidnapping hundreds more. The very next day on October 8th Hezbollah joined the war. Both of these terrorist groups are backed trained and funded by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism. And for the past 11 months, Hezbollah has fired over 8,500 rockets and drones at Israel, that’s almost 1000 attacks each month, forcing nearly 100,000 Israelis away from their homes. Dozens of Israeli civilians have been killed. Including, horrifically the 12 children who were playing soccer in Majdal Shams when an Iranian-made rocket, launched by Hezbollah, struck the playground and killed them. And this week, Hezbollah suffered a significant blow. Every single person who was carrying one of these devices was part of Hezbollah’s terrorist operation. If you had them, you are a part of Iran’s terrorist occupation of the Middle East and you are a part of Iran’s ring of fire that’s trying to take Israel down. While Israel has consistently shown restraint and made countless attempts to reach a ceasefire, Hezbollah has continued attacking Israel. It’s time for the international community to recognize the serious threat posed by Hezbollah and the rest of Iran’s jihadi terrorist armies in the Middle East. Allowing this aggression on Israel’s borders to become the status quo threatens global security and empowers extremists worldwide. Israel did not want this war and did not start this war with Hamas, Hezbollah or Iran but will have to defend itself and win this war.

Question: What about Lebanon? Is Lebanon going to be part of a deal? U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio: "Well, Lebanon we’re working on separately. With Lebanon we are engaged now. We have a 45-day ceasefire. We’ve had weekly meetings now and ongoing daily engagements between the government of Lebanon and Israel. The problem is not Lebanon and Israel. The problem is Hezbollah. Just last night Hezbollah put out a statement calling for the overthrow of the Lebanese government. And it just reminds you who you’re dealing with here - by the way, an Iranian proxy, 100% Iranian proxy. And as long as an armed Hezbollah exists, it’s going to be hard to achieve peace in Lebanon because they’re victimizing the people of Lebanon. They’re not just attacking Israel. But we’re working that track with the Lebanese government and the Israeli government. And we’ve made some good progress there - an extended ceasefire, a path forward. We’re going to continue to work on that. Hezbollah is a terrorist group.” Question: "Would it be an understanding that Israel wouldn’t strike Lebanon as part of the deal?” U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio: "Well, Israel always has a right to protect itself. Every country in the world does. So if Hezbollah is going to launch missiles at them, Israel has every right to respond to that or to prevent that from happening. That’s always been understood during the ceasefire, and it will be understood beyond that."

We are witnessing a pivotal moment for the entire Middle East. The death of Hassan Nasrallah, the terrorist leader of Hezbollah, marks the potential beginning of a new chapter for Lebanon, a country long occupied by this terrorist organization through its Iranian backers. Hezbollah was born out of the chaos of the Lebanese civil war in the 1980s, created, funded, and armed by Iran to serve as its proxy in the region. Over the years, under Nasrallah's leadership, Hezbollah grew into a monstrous military force, terrorizing the entire region. By removing Hezbollah's leadership and dismantling its infrastructure, Israel is offering the Lebanese people a chance to reclaim their country. Hezbollah's crimes extend far beyond Lebanon. This terror group has been deeply involved in the Syrian civil war, helping Assad brutally massacre hundreds of thousands of innocent Syrians. While Hezbollah claims to be defending Lebanon, it is in fact only doing Iran's bidding. Despite resistance from the Lebanese people over the years, Hezbollah has persisted with its jihadi rule—until now. Nasrallah's death is not just about the removal of a terrorist leader. It is an opportunity for Lebanon to reclaim its independence for the Lebanese people. Israel's operations are about liberating the region and dismantling a terror network that threatens the entire world. Now is the time for the international community to stand with Lebanon, not by turning a blind eye to Hezbollah's terror, but by supporting efforts to finally dismantle this group once and for all. Only when Hezbollah's reign of terror is over can the Lebanese people rebuild their country.

On Lebanese talkshow صار الوقت with Marcel Ghanem: 1. If Hezbollah is winning and beating Israel like it claims, then why is it dying to stop the war and be part of the Iran ceasefire? Why not go on and win back all the land from Israel? If the war stops this minute, at least 300,000 Lebanese won't be able to return to the buffer zone in south Lebanon. 2. The Lebanese keep on saying "Israeli aggression" while in reality, in 2006, 2023, 2026, Hezbollah was always the aggressor, the one that started the war. Also, from an international law perspective, Israel is in the clear defending itself while Lebanon is in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 (disarm Hezbollah). 3. Hezbollah chief Qassem published a book called The Resistance State that a government coexists with an armed non-state actor against global imperialism. Israel wants this model dead. Either Lebanon becomes a normal sovereign state responsible for any violence that originates from its territory, or Israel will keep a buffer zone like in Gaza until Hezbollah surrenders its arms. 4. Hezbollah surrendering its arms to win back land is great. After all the goal is for Shia to live in their land in peace. The goal is not to keep the arms. The arms is a tool and if throwing it away achieve the goal, then be it. 5. Disarming Hezbollah doesn't have to be war, it requires Lebanese political consensus to ask Hezbollah to surrender its arms to the army. It succeeded in 1982 when the Lebanese asked Arafat to leave Lebanon to stop the war with Israel. It succeeded in 2005 when the Lebanese ejected Assad's army from their country.
