Bonzo, a lasting legacy ❤️

@HammerMusePerth Flipping heck I’m tearful again. Billy Bonds was everything to me growing up. He was my hero and he remains my hero. An incredible athlete a ferocious hardworking player, an awesome leader and as honest and straightforward as they come. An incredible human being our Bonzo. ❤️⚒️

@JimBwick We’ll never see his like again. Blessed to have him associated with this great great club. ⚒️

I still remember, probably 40 years ago now, I was a 10 year old kid blabbering on about Bobby Moore : "Bobby was the greatest player of all time" to my best friends dad. He looked me in the eye and said "kid, Moore is even the best West Ham player of all time. That's Billy Bonds". And my friend's dad was a Leeds supporter!

Worthy of a statue. Get it sorted. Love ya Bonzo

@HammerMusePerth Why don’t we do a statue outside the ground ?

Billy Bonds claret and blue army 💜💙

@JosiahMothWHU My hero ⚒️🖤 loved forever, an incredible person, amazing athlete - brilliant man Bonzo 👑

Who's cutting onions again 😢 😢 😢 😢 I am so grateful to have watched Bonzo at Upton Park and at Wembley when we won the 1980 FA Cup. He was leader, and a Hammers legend. #BillyBonds #claretandbluearmy #BillyBondsClaretandBlueArmy

My Dad, a wonderful man, knew nothing about football he heard that Billy was always first out of the dressing room to home to family. Dad said “that’s a real man, family first.” That’s why we loved him, great player but knew what was really important. We could identify with him

❤️

My all-time favourite player, epitomised West Ham for me. Strength, passion, unyielding effort & total commitment to the cause. I was lucky enough to see him play at the v end of his career when at 41 he put 21 year olds to shame. We need a fitting tribute to him at the ground ⚒️

Im not crying.. honest.... God how i miss this man. Forever in my memories 💜🩵

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Waiting to go up on the wall at home ⚒️⚒️⚒️

Wow. Moving. Beautiful. ⚒️❤️⚒️

My Grandson William named after my hero the Great Billy Bonds, 3 months old & has had a season ticket in the BBL Block 138 since he was 2 years old, can’t wait to he is old enough to come to matches with me.

Fucking Alvarez wears his shirt. Disgraceful

The greatest ever

Show this to the players during Saturday’s pre match meeting.

Superb! Well done for putting that together Happy Heavenly Birthday Bonzo, my first gaffer as a fan! From my first match in ‘91 until today and everyday in the future we’ll always be “Billy Bonds Claret & Blue Army” 🗣️ ⚒️🫧
