The assault on an elderly Marathi man by an Ola driver in Thane has turned political. While the two Shiv Sena factions united to track down the driver and thrash him, now the MNS has jumped in and is targeting Ola drivers across Thane. MNS workers were seen stopping taxi drivers, checking their Marathi fluency and beating those who could not speak the local language. MNS leader Avinash Jadhav landed the site of assault and was seen harassing the Ola drivers over the Marathi language issue. MNS leader was also seen slapping cab drivers who could not speak Marathi. The issue has taken a local vs outsider turn as the victim is a Marathi while the taxi driver who beat him is non-Marathi. A video of the Ola cab driver assaulting the old man in full public view had gone viral on social media on Wednesday. The incident took place outside a popular mall when the old man reportedly objected to the taxi driver spitting on the road. An argument followed, and the enraged taxi driver was seen beating the old man while his wife tried to save him. Taxi driver was seen hitting the man with a stone, who fell down on the road and sustained injuries. As Soon as the video circulated on social media, Shiv Sena workers traced the driver, thrashed him and handed him over to the police. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde himself took cognizance of the assault on the elderly man. He released a video directing the Thane Commissioner to book the cab driver for attempt to murder. Back when I was in Thailand trying to get back to the hotel, I was by a popular temple which is a huge tourist spot. The hotel wasn’t any further than about 10 minutes away. I didn’t think the fare would be bad at all. I found a cab and asked how much, he said 1000 baht which exchanges to about $30 USD. I thought it was outrageous for a quick 10 minute ride. I managed to find another one and he agreed to 500 baht which was a little more reasonable at $15 USD. It was still a little high but I did not want to spend all day arguing about cab fare. Being that the area was crowded with tourists and other cabs, it took us longer than the normal 10 minutes, the cabbie then insisted since he had to wait an extra 15 minutes in traffic that the ride would be $1200 baht to cover his time. He was asking for $36 USD, even more than the first guy. I gave him the $500 baht on which we agreed on and I went into my hotel. I figured what was he going to do? I only paid what he agreed to in the first place, anything else is out of my control. When it was time to leave I ended up getting a recommendation for a cab from the hotel, the guy was way more professional, he used a meter and I felt like I paid what I should have. From now on I think I will refuse to go in a cab that isn’t using a meter, there is less of a chance that I would waste time haggling for a fair price.

This truck driver is crocked. He does not even recognize his boss. Scary to think he was climbing in that truck getting ready to drive it. This wild bodycam footage out of the Palmetto Police Department in Florida shows the absolute dismantling of a commercial truck driver’s career in real-time. Officers were on the lot of Philadelphia-based Inox Cargo Inc., officers quickly realized the driver was in no condition to be behind the wheel of an 80,000-pound rig as he was exiting the rig. When asked point-blank by the officer if he was intoxicated, the driver didn't even try to hide it—just gave a casual, slurry "Yeah." But the real kicker happens when the officer points to a man standing right outside the cab. "You know this gentleman here?" The driver stares blankly, completely failing to recognize his own boss. The officer has to spell it out for him: "He owns the truck. That's your boss." With the truck still running, the officer warns him that he's looking at a commercial DUI and can say goodbye to his CDL. Hearing enough, the fed-up owner steps in to tell the officers that the driver is officially terminated on the spot. The boss demands the driver get his gear out immediately so they can search the cab for illegal substances, making it clear he’s not letting his business go down with the ship. I was travelling in a cab to Mumbai on 30th Oct at around 9pm when I noticed that the driver slowed down the car very abruptly, it was because of the driver of this red i10 who was visibly drunk. He was swerving lanes and almost crashed into us and another car. When we overtook him, he started driving even more dangerously and came ahead of our car started showing the finger and almost made us come to a halt. Luckily there wasn’t much traffic on that stretch of road and our driver was quite aware so we could get away from him. But his driving was highly dangerous and reckless. I hope you show this on your channel to make people aware of drunk drivers like him. #driveresponsibly

The driver of a London bus allegedly locked a Jewish passenger in for nearly an hour, withheld his bank card after it fell into the driver’s cab, and told him he resembled a “Mossad agent” and that he “doesn’t like Jewish people.” This incident will horrify decent people right across the country, who increasingly wonder what has happened to the UK we love. It is outrageous that anyone should be subjected to this kind of degrading treatment, let alone for being or simply just appearing to be Jewish. Allegedly trapping a passenger on a bus and subjecting him to antisemitic abuse is not merely disgraceful conduct; it is potentially criminal. We welcome urgent investigations by both TfL and the police. If the allegations are borne out, the driver would clearly need to be fired and TfL would need to issue an apology and offer compensation to the passenger. The driver has now been suspended pending investigation. Consequences must be delivered for any and all wrongdoing.

🚨 Britannia Report 🚨 "Allowing endless numbers of people to come in to this place, and to populate it, and overpopulate it, causes nothing but suffering in the longterm" Obviously, I already was aware of how dangerous the problem of asylum seeker hotels were, but the attack on myself and my colleagues last night gave me first hand experience of the kind of people we are inviting into our country, or the government are letting in on purpose? It may sound melodramatic but I feel hesitant about going out on my own now, we were just waiting for a cab. This is the Britain that we live in now. Unsafe, uncivilised, unstable. This is not the beautiful, powerful country it once was. Why?

Last night, getting back from Jantar Mantar wasn’t easy. Internet jammers made it nearly impossible to book a cab or bike online. Thankfully, a Rapido rider offered me a ride home. When I tried to pay him, he politely refused. He told me he had been doing this voluntarily, helping people travel to and from Jantar Mantar because they couldn’t book rides. He had even been dropping people to the airport and to their homes, free of charge. This is what heroism looks like. This is also why the student and youth protest became such a success. Everyone contributed in whatever way they could. Some raised slogans, some volunteered, and some simply made sure strangers got home safely.

I was on my mission when President Holland gave his “Safety for the Soul” talk about the Book of Mormon. I remember feeling the fire, but that’s not the talk that had the most impact on my life. While I was a missionary, I discovered a talk he gave called “Within the Clasp of Your Arms.” He wasn’t an apostle at the time. I loved it, but it took many years for me to finally understand it. Most of my childhood was spent growing up with an absent father—visiting him in prison, seeing him get arrested, watching him live as a homeless alcoholic and drug addict, hearing him fight with my mom, or once even threatening to kick us out in the middle of the night. I have some good memories of him, but not many. Then I became a dad. At the time, I was serving as stake clerk and preparing for a stake priesthood meeting. Something reminded me of this talk (I assume it was the Spirit), and I decided to listen to it again. The talk finally hit me like a ton of bricks. The Spirit gave me, I think, the strongest and most loving rebukes I’ve ever received in my life. I was crying on my way to the meeting. I was crying during the meeting. I was crying while listening to my stake president speak—which, ironically, was about being good, loving fathers. I was crying after the meeting. Afterward, we (the stake presidency) met quickly to discuss the meeting, and my stake president, who had noticed all my crying, asked me to give the opening prayer. I never got to meet him, but this experience made me feel closer to him. I’m not a perfect father, and I wasn’t a bad father then. I just had some things I seriously needed to work on. I’ve tried my hardest to live by what I learned that day. I repent when I fail to meet that expectation. I love President Holland. I’m going to miss him.

GYUVIN LAUGHING SO HARD RECALLING THIS ANECDOTE FROM HIS DATE W RICKY😭💞 🦌 no but suddenly… after we finished eating and were coming out, ricky suddenly called a taxi. he called it, and the moment we stepped outside, there was a reserved taxi right in front of us. so he asks ne, “is it this one?”so i told him, “you’re the one who called it, right? you should check on your phone. check the number.” then he fiddles around with his phone for a bit and shows me the screen. i said, “no! i’m telling you to compare it with the license plate!” and he goes, “oh? it’s not the one?” then he looks at the map and says, “ah, it hasn’t arrived yet?”….. HAHAHA … no but… so i told him, “you should’ve been checking that!” and then our actual taxi arrived. but- HAHAHAHAHAHHA…. suddenly, like a little kid- like a little kid, he walks up to the taxi and reaches out to open the back door. but because the taxi driver couldn’t see him, right? so the driver just kept driving forward, but ricky followed along with his hand still reaching out for the door, so i was like, “no, knock! knock on the door!” he went on for like 20 meter, in the rain. i told him, “no but how would the driver know if you don’t knock?!” and he goes, “i thought he saw me….” i told him, “no you were walking in his blind spot, how would he see you?” ah, today was really such a happy day.

The traffic was heavy, and a cab driver kept pushing me off the road, refusing to let me overtake. He eventually forced me to stop, passed dangerously close to my car, and then blocked my way. We both thought our cars touched, and he got out, furious, and started shouting at me. I tried to de-escalate the situation by suggesting we sort it out at the police station, but he only got more aggressive, hurling verbal abuse and demanding I get out of my car. When he tried to forcefully open my door and reach inside through the window, I had no choice but to defend myself with pepper spray. At this point, I was boxed in and had no way to escape. The driver then retrieved a pair of pliers, smashed my rearview mirror, and tried to break my window with multiple blows. The traffic was heavy, and a cab driver kept pushing me off the road, refusing to let me overtake. He eventually forced me to stop, passed dangerously close to my car, and then blocked my way. We both thought our cars touched, and he got out, furious, and started shouting at me. I tried to de-escalate the situation by suggesting we sort it out at the police station, but he only got more aggressive, hurling verbal abuse and demanding I get out of my car. When he tried to forcefully open my door and reach inside through the window, I had no choice but to defend myself with pepper spray. At this point, I was boxed in and had no way to escape. The driver then retrieved a pair of pliers, smashed my rearview mirror, and tried to break my window with multiple blows. Failing that, he began damaging my car’s bonnet and headlights, and I believe he intended to puncture my tires with a screwdriver. Eventually, I found space to escape and drove away. When I got home, I checked the car where I initially thought we had collided. There wasn’t a single scratch. The dents on his car seemed pre-existing, and I now suspect he was trying to blame me for them. An older man at the scene kept scolding me instead of stopping the driver from vandalizing my car. I stayed in my car, scared for my life, but I insisted on resolving the matter at the police station. I’ve since repaired the damage to my car, but I’m still traumatized. I've heard stories of people being followed and beaten after such incidents, so I’m terrified to report it. Read il explain what’s gone on 👇🏽 So I placed a £2,000 bet, 3 minutes before the race it got accepted. 2 mins before the race they asked for my identification so had to show send my drivers license via online link which was then accepted (even showed the staff) And apparently I was 5 seconds into the race showing my identification and that’s the reason they won’t pay me out for the win? The staff was lovely but everytime they try speak to someone on the phone they keep saying no don’t pay him out his winnings with no real reason. This is an absolute shambles and I hope paddy power resolves this matter as it really is not a good look!

Yesterday I was moving into a new apartment, and I had some help from a couple of guys who do moving work. I first noticed something when I went to pick them up at Home Depot. While talking to the older man, he received a call and answered, “Yes, commander, I’ll call you back.” I ignored it at first. Fast forward to when we got home and started loading and moving stuff. Another call came in from the same “commander,” this time on speaker. The moment I heard the voice, I knew something was wrong, and the man didn’t realize it. On the phone, they were asking him for $2,000, saying the girl he was supposed to marry next week was sick and needed money for treatment, even though she’s supposedly a military nurse according to her profile. I signaled him and muted the call. I told him to ask for the commander’s name, and he did. The guy said his name was “Marthin” and then “Martinez” 😂. I took the phone and said something, and the scammer immediately hung up when he heard my accent. A few minutes later, he called again, asking why the man had handed the phone to someone else and claiming it was against their “security rules.” I took the phone again and cursed him out. I told the man to block them, which he did. Then he showed me many more messages he’d been receiving. The man was already far gone into the scam. I’m glad I was able to stop him from being scammed. These people really work hard for their money, really hard. I told him it’s better to get a new phone line.

“There is a person intentionally setting fires in Glenora neighbourhood. A few of us watched him set a large tree in front of the museum on fire. We called it in, fire arrived and put it out. He tried to flee, and a few of us on bikes surrounded him. Called police several times, fire came to speak to him and take away cardboard from his shopping cart. Eventually he left north towards stony plain road. I followed him for a bit while on the phone with 911. He then ducked east and I think went down groat hill. As I left, more fire trucks were being dispatched from the 102 ave station - he might have continued setting fires in the ravine. Dispatch/911 said they put the call on the board but it did not seem likely that they were going to attend to apprehend him.” - Submitted in the DM’s.

Life is so unpredictable . 21 December 2023 my dad visited a patient while he felt normal . He spent December 2023 feeling normal until 24 January 2024 when he went to the office wearing a Real Madrid shirt, and felt a sudden unbearable pain he never felt before . He had people around him to assist him to take him to the nearest hospital . And his squad linked up at the hospital . I randomly recorded him casually talking and he decided to prepare the squad he felt like he reached the end of the road on earth . So people who were available to visit him in that period of time had 4 days to see him for the last time on earth . He had no idea when exactly he was departing but truly felt like . But in that moment 24 January 2024 he felt like he was really going . Family , friends and associates who had time to see him got the opportunity to say goodbye to him while he was speaking and laughing like his usual self . His last Saturday on this earth , 27 January 2024 he asked for beef stew and appletizer for supper . And got the meal he desired . He tried to make sure everyone around him felt special in someway . I last saw him alive on a Sunday , 28 January 2024 . 29 January 2024 he was alive for sometime when the sun was out in the AM’s , Monday morning normal working day . Until he randomly suffered a cardiac arrest . Got called by the hospital they were trying to resuscitate him while I was on my way first thing that morning . When I arrived it was truly the end of my goat , my king , my dad Tshifhatuwo Tshipileli Tshivhase . 12 April 1964-29 January 2024 .
