I’m a late Boomer on the cusp of Gen X..I have seen,heard and done most of this…then transferred it to my children who had the same rules (almost) as me..they are awesome and passing it on to their kids

Well, as a boomer myself, I can tell you our generation just raised Gen X the way we were raised. Everything she said was the way I was raised by my Greatest Generation parents.

She’s partially correct. It’s not only baby boomers who raised Gen X, the Silent Generation and the Greatest Generation had Gen X too. I’m Gen X and my dad was a hero in World War II from the Greatest Generation.

What happened to some of gen exes that grew up with this? So many are snowflakes that spoil their kids with anything and everything, let them get away with such attitude. Blows my mind.

GenX here, beginning of my sophomore HS year i went to the school office acting upset, said my mother made me come and tell you out home phone number changed, pulled out a number on a piece of paper. For 3 years every time i skipped school they call and reported my absence to the random phone number I gave them.

I just relived my life in two mins… lol. Sunrise to sunset.. 💯 no limitations..!! 😅

Don’t forget we only got clothes twice a year School and Xmas and heaven for bid if you ruined your shoes before than we’ll get your dukes up because kids were not nice to each other.

I ran away from home, when I was about 7, I was gone for what seemed like forever, it was probably a couple of hours, when I finally went home, no one even noticed I was gone.😭 1969🤨

@ProjectConstitu My kids thought the ice cream truck sold broccoli until they were 10 & 12 years old playing at some friend’s house. They were so mad at me! 🤣

So Boomers raised Gen X like how they were raised. Gen X continued to raise their kids the same way ….. then how did the rest of the generations ( Gen Y, Z, Alpha ) become such entitled snowflakes?❄️

My husband and I are both 73 babies. He lived in rural pa. I lived north of Chicago relate to this. I tell stories and my husband is shocked and horrified. My parents would never. 😂🤣 I tell our grandkids- put your play clothes on and get outside. They look at me confused 😂
