Back around 2001, my wife and I rescued an adult Rough-coated Collie from the local animal shelter. To our knowledge she had never been worked/trained to work. We were walking her and our Shih-tzu through the city park during a local festival. We wandered by the 4-H enclosure, and our girl saw the sheep and dropped into 'the crouch'. The sheep immediately responded and all went to the other end of the enclosure in a huddle. Willow on the other hand stood up, turned and looked up at me as if to say 'what the hell did I just do?!' One of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life, the shear confusion on her face.

Our girl, smart as can be. Getting up in years though. And yes, Border Collies do come in different colors and coats. Meet a tri-color, saddle back sable, with a triple coat.

Work, work, work, work, work, work. It is who they are. 😁
