Pepper usually refuses all food and retreats to his closet. I have to follow him with a piece and give it to him by hand. Then, if he approves, he will follow me to the kitchen and eat. 🙄

My last angel was a border collie mix. Routine was everything; change was bad. My retired Dad used to watch her while I was at work. They loved taking long walks. When she saw him in a suit and dress shoes, she freaked, ran over to his gym shoes, and batted them over to him.

It may well be cheese, but it's not in the place for cheese. Honestly, you humans just have no idea! (Things have to be in the right place and done in the right way - it's a collie thing) Good to see you back on your feet!
