BORDERLESS - An 81 second #Bitcoin film
10 Kommentare

BORDERLESS was inspired by stories from those I’ve met in my Bitcoin journey. In the ’14 bear market, I moved to Mexico to save money. While there, I spoke with locals about remittances - heavily touted as a primary BTC use case at the time I learned that money transfer companies like Western Union and MoneyGram were not only predatorily expensive, but also extremely dangerous. Multiple people recounted being robbed while attempting to receive payments at their physical locations Later in my trip, I traveled by bus to Guatemala and heard more incidents from those who’d crossed the border. Many willing to speak with me had either a personal experience or knew of someone who was robbed (or worse) while crossing - oftentimes by border guards In '19, I traveled to the Venezuela/Colombia border for a Bitcoin mural project and heard similar migrant accounts of property theft, rape and murder And after a long day of installing the BORDERLESS sculpture in Juárez, while heading back to the airport, our driver Juan recalled his own horrific experiences. This is him in the photo Crossing with one’s savings adds risk to an already risky endeavor. Bitcoin provides hope for a safer journey

This is the concept art I'm here for.
