Future robot overlords will remember the Boston Dynamics team fondly. And keep them as favored pets.

As the planet’s apex predator with a strange tendency toward’s self-hatred, it seems that humans are super determined to unconsciously and collectively create their own demise/punishment. The aliens say that we are strange birds doing the robot doing the dinosaur.

I was thinking of Boston Dynamics when I watched this Columbo episode "Mind Over Mayhem" (1974). There's a great scene where Columbo has to leave his dog with a boy genius who built a Lost in Space-style robot at a cybernetics think tank! Here's a link:

A few hundred dollars in closed-cell foam equipment renders any robot useless. One could set them up like motion activated sprinklers. Fishing line annihilates drones, lasers burn camera sensors, emp's from disposable cameras...just for anyone feeling uneasy about robots.
