I’d like to know how you can say the death penalty is not a deterrent. How would you know statistically how many people might have but did not commit a capital crime because of the death penalty? There’s no way to know that! 🤷🏼‍♀️

I covered this entire trial back in the 90’s. Thank you for recognizing Colleen’s mom. As reporters, we got to know her during the whole ordeal. She is a strong lady but was put through absolute hell as a mother. Tennessee has to fix this, and no doubt other states do, too.
