Most runners under-load their calves. Heavy calf raises fix that. Runners usually do bodyweight single-leg raises and call it done. But your Achilles tendon takes massive load every stride. Bodyweight isn't enough stimulus to make it stronger. Heavy load is what drives the adaptation. I do these on leg day. 50kg in the hands, standing on a plate so my heels can drop below the toes. Focus points: → Full range of motion. Heels drop below the plate at the bottom, full extension at the top → Slow on the way down. (~2 seconds.) → Go bilateral when loading heavy. Single-leg has its place, but two legs lets you put real weight through the tendon → Don't rush the rep. This isn't a calf burner, it's a strength lift 3 x 8-10 reps. Train your calves in the gym so they can handle what running demands.

A large surface cold front will develop late Friday morning as the low axis trajectory slides down the coast towards Pismo Beach, California by Friday at dawn. Severe Weather Risk In Central And Southern California on Friday. The atmospheric conditions will become increasingly unstable, giving way to thunderstorms from central California to San Diego. The cold pool of air aloft, at minus 28 Celsius above 25,000FT, will create volatile weather conditions with the possibility of pea-sized hail and brief heavy rainfall in some areas. The air mass will be very cold, supporting a dusting of snow near the Grapevine and Cajon Pass. Temperatures will drop into the 40s and 50s, and the 30s near the mountains by Friday midday. As snow levels have been trending downward and hit rock bottom, there may be some isolated areas at 2,000-foot elevation along the San Gabriel’s and parts of the San Bernardino mountains that could see a dusting of snow. Even some dusting of snow in the high desert cannot be ruled out. There is a high confidence of elevated water spouts developing from San Luis Obispo to San Diego coastal zones, especially since one of the embedded disturbances will arrive on Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM. This is also the best opportunity for ample early April sun angle, which will give way to stronger convection across our region. Trapjesus - 91 OG Trap Jesus Overall: 9.4/10 Let me start by saying… wow. This is easily some of the best flower I’ve smoked in a long time. This absolutely lived up to the hype. From the first smell to the final puff, everything about this felt special. Smell: 9/10 The aroma is incredible. Deep forest notes, classic OG funk, and a bright lemon presence that jumps right out of the jar. It has that rich, loud smell that instantly lets you know you’re in for something good. Flavor: 9.410 The flavor somehow translates even better than the aroma. Bright limonene hits first, followed by beautiful alpha pinene notes throughout the smoke. The exhale brings a light gas with subtle sweetness and myrcene lingering in the background. Every pull was flavorful and enjoyable. Burn: 10/10 After taking another look at the footage, this was bone white ash. Absolutely flawless. The resin ring developed quickly and stayed thick, dark, and terp rich throughout the session. This was one of those joints you find yourself staring at between hits because it was burning so beautifully. Effects: 9.5/10 The effects are where this one really shines. The body high is powerful and settles deep into the legs, creating a very relaxing and bottom heavy experience. The head high brings that classic behind the eyes OG pressure, but what stood out most was the mood elevation. Everything just felt good. Music sounded better, food tasted better, and I found myself genuinely happy for hours. The effects lasted close to four hours, which is rare for me. Final Thoughts Great flavor, incredible effects, perfect burn, and a truly memorable smoking experience. The bag appeal was solid, even if my eighth was made up of several smaller nugs. That feels like nitpicking when the smoke itself was this good. This is elite flower. The kind of smoke that reminds you why people chase exceptional cannabis in the first place. For me, this is damn near unicorn status, and I’m extremely happy I got the chance to try it.

Ok, Don’t want to get too heavy on you today. But I can’t help that a major event in my life fell on Good Friday years ago. Don’t worry I have been healthy for a while now but this is probably the most important post I can ever share with you. I already told you how Good Friday 1989 changed my life forever. Let me tell you how Good Friday 2017 DEFINED MY LIFE FOREVER. This photo is from March 2017 when I had a surgery in to take a lump off my thyroid that was detected in my yearly physical. The 1 hr surgery ended up being 3 hrs of removing stage 2 cancer that I didn’t know I even had. The surgeon put 4 dots where he would make his incision on my neck. I don’t believe it was a coincidence or mistake that the dots are over the word blessed and under the word GOD. I am cancer free and enjoying my life due to that yearly physical and #earlydetection . I am alive and healthy because I put my health first. Are you doing this? I have come to the realization that we generally go out of our way to take care of everybody else but ourselves. But I believe that Good Friday was a sign to convince me to use my public stage for something else. Bottom line, if I can just get 1 of you to push yourself or the ones you love to get a physical, mammogram, colonoscopy, endoscopy, blood pressure test, diabetes test or whatever else you are neglecting, then maybe that’s why I have been blessed with the public stage. Early Detection has been proven to be one of the best ways to help people survive potentially fatal ailments.
