The governor Bank of Uganda seems to be an exceptionally truthful and authentic charater. In our world where we have more fakeness that athenticity. Geninely patriotic. Honest. His deputy too-Prof Nuwagaba has had a history of credibility. Genuine patriot. I think two and their Sec. to treasury should be able to work towards depapitating the monster in the ministry of finance. Where where it's said that even the loans our country borrow, there are finacial beasts who may have capacities to end someone's life for them to have a massive sum corruptly gettting into their personal coffers.

It’s totally unbelievable on the other hand that Government should let foreign banks to have access to Wazalendo/ NSSF funds, whereas Gov knows well of the capital repatriation at play, corporate entities drain the economy every hour that goes by.

The Telcos are major shareholders of our capital, who truck their capital movements? The regulatory changes we badly require should not be expected but rather instantly regulated for further licensing! Or else, people’s collateral shall remain in banks’ pockets. Rates a 2 high

Total crap. Commercial banks do not lend money based on deposit. This is a longstanding lie told by bankers. The cat was let out of the bag a long time ago. Banks create new money from nothing every time they lend through a process called the credit creation theory.

I may not agree, if the 40 years of economic stability has left us with no structural reforms to cause for longtime capital mobilisation, having no institutional investors, banks have no access to numerous funds like NSSF, recently ☝️ suggested that we should run a parallel NSSF

This is an obsolete relic that can not be borne. You can run a bank totally asleep n still make profits because the intermediary is totally obsequious in the profitability of banks than how Ugandans are being short changed. Rates in US r less than 3%, we r on 22%! Incredulous
