“Boy, it’s a devastating thing. Mi actually lose everything,” said Ocho Rios craft market vendor Dennis Gordon, who watched as an uprooted tree crashed onto his shop during Hurricane Melissa. The veteran trader, who has worked in the craft market for over 50 years, described the loss as one... of the worst he has ever seen. “As you can see, everything liquid. The shop top lift off, lift off. We got a loss — a really big loss, and we lose a lot of money… but we have life. We give thanks that we wake this morning.” Despite the destruction, Gordon urged Jamaicans to show compassion in the aftermath. “Everybody in Jamaica to play this part. Help each other who is down. Obviously you went to the Super Bowl, and people are gonna be gunning for you, there’s a lot of tape on you. But, you still gotta give your best shot. You still gotta be on offense, you can’t sit back and play defense. That’s the mindset you have to have each and every day, and that’s something that I’m preaching. Because obviously I’ve won, I’ve lost at the highest level. Asked Joe Mazzulla what he thinks the story of this Celtics team has been: “The story's not done. We are only a product of what we do tomorrow, what we do the next day, and that's just the story. And if we would have lost this game by 1, tomorrow’s film session has to be as detailed and as disciplined as it is going to be with the result that we had. And so that's the story. It's not done yet, and we haven't done anything. All we've done is stick to the process of winning on both ends of the floor, put our head down, don’t overreact to a good win or to a bad loss. And, get better in the next game. So, still plenty of stuff we can get better from tonight. We gave up an ATO lob to LeBron, we gave up two back-cuts, we over-helped a few three point shooters. We got to understand this is when we're at our best, and this is what we have to get better playing against a good Phoenix team who's tough, they kill the margins as well. Thank you to Joe and Kelly Craft for all they did to make this possible and for being there. What a privilege to help in Jesus’ Name—and we give all the glory to God!

Tonight, we gathered in the wake of the devastating shooting at Brown University, grieving the lives affected. In a moment marked by fear and heartbreak, we chose to come together. As we mark the first night of Hanukkah and prepare to celebrate Christmas, we’re reminded that light does not erase our community’s loss, but it can help guide us forward. My hope is that tonight offers the first flicker of healing and serves as a reminder that we will get through this together.

Every time we get a blast of snow, there’s more and more shops/sheds in the Peace Country collapsing because of the snow load. Today we took care of that stress, and at least it’s only -16°c today. 👌🏼 This side of the shop is the North side, so it doesn’t have as much snow cover as the south side does. The lift just makes it so much safer. There is already a young fella from the area that is going down a long road of recovery, as the building he was shovelling off, collapsed and he landed in the wreck. Snow safety, is something we haven’t had to have on our radar for quite a few years to say the least.

We just got home from hospital as we have done so many times before. The Lord had others plans for our little baby so unfortunately we will not get to hold them .. We are ok , sad of course, but the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and this was made manifest to us this evening.. He didn’t fail, and He will work this for our good as well as every other thing He has allowed in his sovereignty. Thank you for all of your love and prayers over the past week , the world can see the Love the church has for one another and God gets the glory , always.
