Emotional incest is real. It’s even worse if the Mom is a single Mom. She molds her Son to be the type of Man she would have wanted and then gets jealous when that son grows up and gets a girlfriend or Wife.

The worst is when the mom expects her young son to be “the man of the house”. No, he’s a little boy he’s not a man let him be a child. Please don’t use your children as an emotional crutch. It’s not fair to them.

I have 4 daughters and 1 son. The love is the same. I don’t understand these mothers making being a the mother of a boy their identity. It is very weird. Or maybe I did it wrong. lol

“Can anyone explain?” ma’m, that’s a question for licensed professionals in a controlled, in-patient environment

The whole “boy mom/girl dad” thing is just creepy. You’re a parent. How is that not special enough???

I'm a mother to 3 children, all boys. She's right. It is creepy. I'm a mother. Period.

Even if women don't call themselves "boy moms," the amount of preference they give to their son's is the reason so many men are undatable. Also, it's the dad's fault too. Combined effort in making shit men.

Gross. My mom had four girls and one boy. We might, in retrospect, quibble (or argue w/each other) about where her strongest emotions and loyalties were, but she defined herself as a woman, a wife (and former marine) and a mother. This boy mom/girl dad thing is just icky.
