Brain-computer interfaces (BCI) & Robotics lack large-scale datasets. Fourier Robots is developing BCI-driven robotic rehabilitation training. Imagine a stroke patient thinks of moving a hand, and the robot detects the intent to guide the motion.

Intent-based robot movements can impact a lot of things.

Exactly. The bottleneck isn’t intent, it’s ethical, diverse signal 🧠 Rehab is the right entry point for BCI: structured, repeatable, and human-first. Guardian Intelligence learns to protect before it learns to act 🛡️

bci plus robotics bottleneck is data. intent signals could become labels

@rohanpaul_ai, BCI-driven robotics are promising, and a good dataset will help improve the inference accuracy of these systems.

That’s incredible! The idea that a robot can interpret brain signals to help stroke patients regain movement is truly inspiring. This kind of innovation could completely change rehabilitation therapy!

The real constraint isn’t data, it’s who controls the calibration process.

Intent data is the missing layer. Once thought-to-action loops are captured at scale, rehab and robotics both accelerate dramatically.

This rehab job feels like playing a game inside a robot… or the robot is playing the human? Lost in the loop but it’s peak vibe 🔥🤖

Intent is missing -> that can only be captured with human behavioural data across different environments and some variance. Effectively, intent to tractories become the most crucial piece of the data layer which static data scrapped from internet cannot provide enough

That’s no thing like real human interaction. Use @TexavieInc 5k1n tactile glove kit! Get real data at scale!

lol at the end of the day this will be just a spectacle because there is no market for disable. Only 1% can afford these solutions and the world isn’t free so without a market and business model it’s over

They could use robots in simulation instead of all theses physical robots if they whant to scale.

Uhhh like I'm not brain expert but wouldn't the neural pathways of a stroke victim be permanently altered such that trying to read their intent would be effectively impossible? I'd assume an overwhelming percentage of what these BCIs read is direct nerve->muscle signals.

There's a fool funding this theater. The robot itself and the approach to solving the problem are clearly doomed to failure. How wrong is this? Doesn't anyone see that this isn't going to succeed?

My dystopian brain can't help thinking of the dark side of this. Almost every thing invented for good causes is abused by bad people.... But hey, i truly also see the benefits for many people in need! 👏

the signal-to-noise problem gets worse when you need labeled motion intent during failure states. hard to get training data for what the patient meant to do when the motion went wrong

this is incredible , the idea of robots reading intent to help with rehab is next level. can’t wait to see how BCI + robotics evolves in real world therapy.

powerful idea, but intent decoding is still messy at scale. guiding motion is one thing, reading minds is another 🧠
