The “1 bite” rule is absolutely wrong and I will stand by that. It’s 3 bites. The first bite eliminates expectations, the second bite normalizes the flavor and then the third bite is the actual judgement.

Johnsonville makes quality sausages. Not sure about the flavor, but I would give it a shot. I think I would go with cheese/queso on mine.

I have used Dr Pepper and some of my barbecue sauces before and it's not terrible.
