I get baby anoles and geckos in my house often. It doesn't mean her hair is dirty. The baby geckos will climb right on you and she probably didn't feel it and killed it when she laid down or put her head back against something or it could've died from being stuck in her hair. It had not been dead that long. I know what they look like when they've been dead awhile when you find one in your closet or under a shelf etc.

I live in Costa Rica and geckos are everywhere. The little baby ones will sometimes die crushed in a door and fall on you when you open the door. It might not weigh anything and have been dead for days so it would have already stopped smelling. Then you pull your hair back in a pony tail and that's that.

Anoles and geckos are beneficial animals to humans. They eat mosquitoes, flies, roaches, moths, gnats, spiders, crickets, ants and other things you don't want in your house. BUT they die of thirst in your house, so catch them and put them outside.
