🚨Is the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors about to DEFUND school resource officers to fund more DEI? At a March 2nd meeting, Supervisor Juli Briskman told the county’s DEI department that she hopes the board will not fund a large resource request (elementary SROs), and if that happens, other budget requests like more DEI positions could be funded. The County Administrator already included funding in the proposed budget to fund school resource officers in elementary schools, something Briskman opposes as do most Democrats on the school board like April Chandler and Anne Donohue. On Thursday at 5:15 pm, the Loudoun County School Board is holding a special meeting and is expected to vote on the Sheriff’s proposal to add school resource officers in all elementary schools. Right now, the Democrat majority on the school board is expected to formally oppose the SRO proposal. We’ll keep you updated. Some believe this is being done now so Democrats on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, like Briskman, can make the argument to take the SRO funding out of the county’s proposed budget. “Why fund elementary school SROs if the school board doesn’t want them?” Right now, there are school resource officers in all middle and high schools in Loudoun County. The Sheriff says the county needs school resource officers in elementary schools because of how many calls of service there are at elementary schools and he says SRO’s can protect the most vulnerable kids in the county when seconds count. Elementary school shootings have been on the rise over the past ten years. The sheriff’s office also tells me there are hundreds of instances where SROs have had to leave middle schools to respond to threats at elementary schools each year. The sheriff’s office was told by the school admin last year that if they want school resource officers in elementary schools, they should get the funding first, and then LCPS will talk. But now it appears the school board is moving the goal posts. The sheriff’s office was able to get the funding, but now there’s an effort underway by Briskman and some school board members to pull the funding and prevent school resource officers in elementary schools.

It is clean, extremely energy-dense, and anyone who opposes it while claiming to want a cleaner future is in a cult. Small modular reactors are safer, cheaper, and faster to build than traditional plants. The new deal between America, Japan, and Korea to advance nuclear technology is excellent. It strengthens energy security and reduces reliance on oil and coal while competing with China. This is what serious countries do. They build advanced technology and move forward. Third-world nations stay in squalor and complain. We love to see real progress.

And we won't get into all the technology, but they are now working with hyperscalers and they are a resource for energy that will allow a data center to get ramped up quicker. "So, even though it costs a little bit more money today to put an energy cell from Bloom, an energy box from Bloom, which are energy cells, it essentially takes things like natural gas, but instead of burning the natural gas, there is a chemical process that turns that natural gas into energy for the data center."

Revolutionising CAR Duty Allocation: Launch of Generative AI-Based System by CP Hyderabad Sri VC Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, today launched a cutting-edge Generative AI-based Duty Allocation system for the City Armed Reserve (CAR) unit. Developed in a record time of approximately two months, this initiative marks a significant milestone in transforming the Hyderabad Police through advanced technology. The system replaces the traditional manual allocation process, which was often time-consuming, error-prone, and faced allegations of bias. By transitioning to an AI-driven model, the department ensures a more motivated workforce and allows senior officers to redirect their time from administrative tasks to core policing. *Key Highlights of the System:* •Unbiased & Transparent: The system utilizes the "Hungarian Method" for score-based allocation, ensuring a fair and transparent process that eliminates manual interference. •Data-Driven Selection: Allocations are determined by objective parameters, including seniority, days in reserve, rewards, discipline, and health scores. •Instant Communication: Leveraging OpenAI APIs, the platform automatically generates personalized official posting letters, reducing administrative overhead to zero. •AI Chat Assistant: A built-in conversational AI interface allows staff to ask questions about allocations and rules in real-time, providing instant explainability and reducing the need for extensive training. •High Efficiency: In its initial run, the system processed 1,796 applicants to fill 208 positions across various categories like Secretariat, CM Office, Traffic and Interceptor vehicles.
