We are well on our way to hitting the milestone of 10 million liters of fresh drinking water delivered to the North. After providing 92,000 liters today, Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project surpassed 8,500,000 since the end of June. In a time when most of the entire population lacks access to the minimum daily requirement of 6 liters of clean water for drinking and cooking, we supply daily water to thousands. Water, a fundamental human right under international law, is being withheld and weaponized to make the population in the North suffer. We made sure not to publish these clips at the time we received them, out of fear for our team’s safety from being targeted… In late September, Gaza City was emptying, people were being forcefully displaced, including our own team. They were in dangerous areas and had to leave with their families but also were helping people along the way - on the road and when they got to the South - with food, water, and tents. But a group from our team remained in the North to continue delivering water to the people. We say this out of gratitude and appreciation for these heroes, whose stories of resilience we hope to tell one day.
