So, this impeachment is just an excuse. They too know that they do not have the numbers and they won't succeed in impeaching him. So, why are they bringing it? Just to gain publicity. It is a desperate attempt by the India Alliance to browbeat a judge simply because he upheld a perfectly reasonable and constitutional order permitting the Kartigai Deepam. This reckless weaponisation of impeachment to intimidate the judiciary must be condemned in the strongest terms. The Congress has a long and dark history of attacking independent judges. During the Emergency, they superseded judges, threatened courts, and shook the very foundations of India’s justice delivery system. What they are doing today is cut from the same unconstitutional cloth. This impeachment motion deserves to be thrown out immediately.
