Following the impeachment motion, an inquiry is conducted under the Judges' Inquiry Act. If the inquiry finds everything to be in order, the impeachment is stopped. If not, it returns to the House. The relevant judge in the House is given the opportunity to present his or her side, either in person or through his or her lawyer. This is a constitutional process. The impeachment motion moved by the DMK and Congress against Justice Swaminathan is an outright assault on the judiciary. It is a desperate attempt by the India Alliance to browbeat a judge simply because he upheld a perfectly reasonable and constitutional order permitting the Kartigai Deepam. This reckless weaponisation of impeachment to intimidate the judiciary must be condemned in the strongest terms. The Congress has a long and dark history of attacking independent judges. During the Emergency, they superseded judges, threatened courts, and shook the very foundations of India’s justice delivery system. What they are doing today is cut from the same unconstitutional cloth. This impeachment motion deserves to be thrown out immediately. And the anti Hindu, anti constitutional mindset driving the Congress-DMK combine must be exposed for what it is - an assault on faith, on freedom, and on the integrity of our institutions.

Tensions high in Thane, Maharashtra after Muslim mob enters Mandir, vandalizes it, molests, and threatens Hindu woman. Islamists molested a Hindu woman in Hazuri, Thane, Maharashtra.
