Emory University issued an alert around 4 p.m. advising of an active shooter and recommending "RUN, HIDE, FIGHT" actions, as well as to avoid the area. Both the Emory University campus and the nearby Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) campus are currently on lockdown. Reports indicate a large police presence at the scene, with some police vehicles reportedly shot up and leaking fluids. FOX 5 crews on the scene reported hearing gunshots coming from the CDC campus.
