My friend was across the street at CDC, it happened at the CVS pharmacy across the street. One Police officer and one pharmacist are dead. They caught the guy, he heard it was black man with a “long gun”. DHS is on scene.

Instead of tackling the problem, there’s more talk of loosening gun laws in the name of the Second Amendment and leaving local communities to handle these crises themselves. The irony: while tragedies increase, the government steps back, expecting people to save themselves.

Emory University issued an alert around 4 p.m. advising of an active shooter and recommending "RUN, HIDE, FIGHT" actions, as well as to avoid the area. Both the Emory University campus and the nearby Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) campus are currently on lockdown. Reports indicate a large police presence at the scene, with some police vehicles reportedly shot up and leaking fluids. FOX 5 crews on the scene reported hearing gunshots coming from the CDC campus.
