In 2003 he grabbed the victim on a Salford embankment above the M60, strangled her, raped her twice and bit her so hard he partially severed her nipple. Andrew Malkinson was wrongly convicted and jailed for 17 years — one of Britain’s worst miscarriages of justice. Quinn was finally caught when DNA from the victim’s clothing matched his sample in a 2022 national database search. Convicted of two counts of rape and attempted strangulation at Manchester Crown Court. Sentencing on June 5.
