At the start of this year, the Bangor City Council announced a priority: establishing a "comprehensive plan to address homelessness." "Council will spearhead the creation of a comprehensive strategy that leverages both outside regional and nationwide experts alongside local stakeholders to craft a comprehensive plan for how the City supports organizations addressing homelessness in the City." A month ago, they announced an "advisory committee on homelessness." To check in on the progress, we took a quick stroll through downtown Bangor. This was filmed right next to the public library, just yards from City Hall.

First sitting of the council and I felt the need to say it straight, The people of this city didn’t elect us just to sit here and continue as usual. There are real questions over the last council, and we were given a mandate to look into it. I raised the issue of the land and assets list that was published. I’ve formally requested a full breakdown, ALL land under council rented out and not, all assets, all details. The mayor has assured me this will be shared & the council under him will adhere to full transparency, thank you mayor Adam Azim, Mayor of Male’ City for the commitment I’ll be following up at the next sitting.And I intend to keep pushing. Whatever comes out of this, I’ll be sharing it with everyone.

GST Council has recommended to prescribe a uniform rate of 12% on all Milk Cans meaning steel, iron, aluminum which are irrespective of the use. They are called milk cans but wherever they are used that will be the rate applicable so that no disputes arise out of it. The Council also recommended to prescribe a uniform GST rate of 12% on all Carton Boxes and cases of both corrugated and non-corrugated paper or paper board. This will, in particular, help the apple growers of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. The Council clarified and recommended that the clarification be put out on that all types of Sprinklers, including fire water sprinklers, will attract 12% GST. The Council recommended to prescribe 12% GST on all Solar Cookers whether it has single or dual energy source. - Smt Nirmala Sitharaman post 53rd GST Council Meeting in New Delhi.

They seek to reward the aggressor and punish the victims through a biased and politically motivated resolution. Such action, if adopted, would severely damage and undermine the credibility and legitimacy of the Council. If adopted, it will be a stain on the credibility and reputation of the Security Council. If adopted, the aggressor, Israel and the United States, will be rewarded and emboldened to carry out further acts of aggression. Today it is Iran. Tomorrow it could be any other sovereign state.”

The Court has said that the Central Waqf Council and the State Waqf Council will not be constituted, and 'Waqf by user' cannot be deleted. During the deliberations of the JPC, I gave a report opposing all amendments proposed by the government, and during the debate on the bill, I called the bill unconstitutional. Our legal battle against this Act will continue."

He signed the companion bill protecting houses of worship, but vetoed the one protecting preschools, day schools, and college students. The Council can still override the veto, but it needs 34 votes and the bill passed with 30. If you live in NYC, call your Council member at and urge them to vote YES on the override.
