🚨#BREAKING: Absolutely HORRIFYING video footage is emerging from Southeast Missouri after a ‘1-in-1,000-year flood' prompted over 350 rescues. The damage gives me so many flashbacks to Hurricane Helene here in Western North Carolina. Please pray for these people!!!!!

This is 60 miles from my home and we happened to be visiting near there. It’s bad!

The 1-1000 is an overstatement. It’s a 1-1000 chance “flash flood” Still sucks non the less, this flood will dissipate quickly which is decent. I hope they get everyone and pets situated. Only caught my attention because I live in SW Mo and hadn’t heard anything about a 1-1000 flood. Turns out I hadn’t heard about it because we flood off and on in the ozarks 9 months of the year lol. When I looked it up I asked google how bad it was and asked for comparisons to the worst flood I’d lived through in Missouri. Look into St Louis floods there was one that broke Levis and took out a chunk of southern Illinois in 1893. Exactly 100 years later it happened again. I was 9, we were doing sand bags with Scott Air Force base troops on some days, handing out water Budweiser was supplying everyone with, and some days taking boats of the river to flooded areas getting flood victims and their belongings. That whole bootheel area, and southern Illinois is low, soft, and swampy already.. Missouri gradually becomes more stone and hills as you work in.

And we didn’t loot any stores, burn down neighborhoods, and indiscriminately harm people. We’re going about our business. Thankful for power banks, some cell service, water, peanut butter sandwiches and the God’s blessings!

A LOT of “1 in 1000 year” weather events this past decade. Could you imagine how bad it would be if Climate Change was real? 🙄 I know. I know. It’s just “normal weather”. Sure bud.

@WatchmanArise I grew up in the Southeast Missouri Boot Hill. It's all flatlands. At one time it was swamp and settlers cut it through with canals and began farming the rich Black Earth. I hate to see this.

30 miles or so from me. One person is missing she got swept out of her house. Nothing like seeing Black Hawk helicopters rescuing a bunch of kids at a camp all are accounted for and all we’re fine.

@Francin28577060 Our friends had their RV at Meremac State Park and had to pull out yesterday due to flooding. We were supposed to be sitting on the river today. God bless our rescue crews. Happens fast but not usually in mid July.

Those people that caused this should be easily identified via their HAARP association. There should be public trials and public executions.
