This is a good thing, any time you have lots of people living on top of each other, with all the noise and activity this brings, having illegal electric scooters racing silently at 40mph is dangerous and live will be lost

I have an ebike , but I am an experienced driver. Once a few children die maybe parents won't let 12 year olds use them. That is why 12year olds can't drive cars.

The problem is less with the device and more with the driver. I have gotten run over by some young person riding them at full speed and not wanting to slow down even though they see me on the sidewalk. A better driver would slow down or walk their e-bike by pedestrians.

How about set a higher age requirement for use of these things. That would solve this shit. 16 or older.

Just like a communist, blame others for not enforcing your own laws. The mayor has lost all control over his police (as seen by being booed relentlessly) and his judiciary that won't enforce e-bike laws.

You’re such a dumbass. Amazon did not cave to Mamdani. Comdani issued letters to 42 online retailers. Amazon’s delivery e-bikes aren’t necessarily what Mamdani’s order is targeting. Their top speed is 12mph, well within NYC laws. You’re such a drama queen.
