The story will turn out to be this again, just wait a few hours

Lemme guess...H1b visa streetshitter drivers caused it?

This is why Truckers need to get CB radios back in their cabs. That communication would have helped avoid the size of this

It's difficult for people to realize that this type of thing can be avoided by not following the vehicle in front of you too closely. These days, whenever you allow proper following distance, people just cut in front of you.

My brother and sister in law were in this driving to Florida for their sons wedding weekend They are safe and were smack in the middle of the whole pile up! Thank god my sister in law doesnโt tail gate and she was able to keep them safe and the car untouched- 2cars behind them a car went on fire

All f()cking tailgating, thats all people do on every road in the nation, especially 95.

๐จ They CLOSED both sides. Northbound is moving again. Matt HAS the bridge. Santee. I-95. Santee Fire SAYS mile marker 100, southbound. Clarendon crews on the Lake Marion span. Backup from 97 to 102. The chief COUNTS about 40 vehicles. Four tractor-trailers on the Live 5 note. One entrapment. No fatalities reported yet. Northbound REOPENED. Southbound is still closed. Firefighters worked a blaze in the wreck. HOLD yesterday's Highway 301 death off this bridge. Fog is a witness line, not a patrol cause yet.

I see this happening in the wintertime because of weather and reduced visibility... But on a sunny day in SC? Who caused it? A truck driver with the last name Singh?
@Patriot79381614 Truckers?

My question is WHICH vehicles INITIATED this PILE UP? Why has NEWS NOT mentioned this AT ALL? I mean it was NOT like there was ICE on these roads. No mention of RAIN. FOG means ๐ slow down and maintain distance.

I try to leave space between me and car ahead but the dipshits on 95 just insert themselves in my buffer zone, constantly. Bring back driver's education, please.

We were northbound stopped for two hours. It is heartbreaking. Praying for these families. Response teams from all over surrounding counties.

๐ Thatโs why I avoid I-95 at all costsโฆ. demolition derby run amok. Always take US-17 to Myrtle Beach.๐

States can easily mount poles on the sides of highways with red flashing lights every so often to signal stopped traffic, with wireless and led tech it cant be that expensive to save lives.

Itโs horrible when my thoughts go to probably an illegal alien truck driver.

That is one of the worst stretches of I-95 in the South. Widen the lanes to at least 3 wide South Carolina.

Earlier pics show fog.

@SecDuffy Tragically, accidents in dense fog occur too often. Please confirm that states/areas with this issue, have electronic boards to post reduced maximum speeds (with double/triple fines if not followed), and early warnings sufficient for alternate routes to avoid areas.

Thatโs a terrible stretch of 95. People drive crazy through there

I am betting that when the wreckage clears there will be an illegal with a CDL, from some blue state. Wait and see.

1-95 goes from Miami to Maine, too much traffic. ๐ to the families during this tragedy.

Extremely dangerous stretch for f pavement.

Will the mainstream media tell the public who is driving those crashed semi trucks? Highly unlikely.

We have crossed this bridge hundreds of times traveling from our home in Virginia headed to Walt Disney World. Praying for every driver, passenger and the first responders. In Jesus name. ๐๐ป

Northbound I-95 has reopened, but southbound remains closed over Lake Marion. No reopening time yet after the massive pile-up.

Prayers-lots of snowbirds heading for Florida

That'll mess up your beach trip

SC is THE WORST for every one riding up on your ๐ then slamming brakes. Idk why they do it. IDC how many people pass me or how slow I have to go, Iโm staying 3 car lengths away from everyone on 95 in SC โฆ super curious to find out what driver caused the crash ๐ people are ok

95 cars were on the bridge and 65 in the crash-

I just watched a semi stop instantly & try to turn down a tiny one lane almost causing a bad crash, then started backing into traffic. Then a mile later a semi comes off exit, trying to cross 3 lanes & nearly killed me, happens alot so I look. One driver was who you think it is.

Iโm Peaying so hard.

๐๐ฝpraying for all involved.

I-95 in SC is the worse. Only 2 lanes on each side and cars run 80 bumper to bumper. The trucks will literally change lanes and about knock your front bumper or worse right off. They will also tailgate you running 80 with in just mere inches behind your car. Itโs pure insanity!!
