A 65-year-old Chicago man is facing felony charges after Sheriff’s Police identified him as the person responsible for stealing more than $8,000 in high-end athleticwear. At approximately 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 18, Lululemon loss prevention notified Sheriff’s Police Organized Retail Crime investigators that a man took dozens of items from their store in 900 block of West Randolph Street in Chicago and fled without paying for them. Unbeknownst to the man, one of the items had a GPS tracker. The item appeared to be tracking to a Green Line train. An investigator boarded the train ahead of where it was tracking and ultimately found the man sitting on the train with a large bag with him. Birmingham City Council filed an injunction this week to stop unauthorized Union Jacks and St George’s Crosses on lampposts. The penalty would be unlimited fines or two years in prison. This is insane. You should not need a permit to show national pride. Yet they’re trying to limit it on the grounds of what they say is public safety and community cohesion. That is globalism run amuck. Next they will treat being British in public like a disruption. When unsanctioned national pride is treated as a crime, you do not have a nation. You have a country collapse. Think this cannot happen in America? Watch how rarely many Democrats fly the U.S. flag, and how often it is missing from their conventions. I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? Systems created from racism cannot be reformed. That is why we keep seeing the same thing happen over and over again… with police and with ICE. An unarmed Black man, in Milwaukee, was shot in the head three times after being tased and restrained by five officers. Meanwhile, just 80 miles away, a white man was actively on top of a police officer, assaulting him… and was taken into custody without being shot. We have seen this same disparity play out over and over again. And we will continue to see this happen because… American policing is deeply rooted in systems created to control and hunt down Black populations... and ICE was created from a system rooted in racial exclusion, and the criminalization of immigrants. And we see the consequences of that history every single day. The problem is not just a few bad officers/agents, or a lack of training. The problem is not just that the wrong person was hired… These systems were built on racism. They were built to use state violence against certain people. You cannot reform a system whose foundation is rotten. You cannot train racism out of a system created by racism. You cannot reform your way out of a structure that is operating how it was designed to operate. At some point, we have to stop asking how to make these systems work better… And we have to start asking why we keep defending systems that were never designed to protect people in the first place.

Just before 12:30 Monday afternoon, the FDNY responded to a 4-alarm fire at 44-49 College Point Boulevard in Queens. Tragically, four people lost their lives in this fire. Two other victims were transported to area hospitals in critical condition. During operations, a stairwell collapsed, trapping two of our members. They were transported to area hospitals in stable condition. More than 230 firefighters and EMS personnel responded. “This is a difficult and tragic day. There were several victims in this fire. The Fire Department did an extraordinary job under difficult circumstances, putting this fire out and saving people. I can't thank them enough for their continued efforts and commitment to life safety,” said Fire Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore. “Upon arrival, we had heavy fire on all three floors of this building. There was a victim trapped on the second floor, which our members removed with a portable ladder. As our engine companies were moving in from the first floor and up the stairs to the second floor, the stairs collapsed, and those two members were trapped in the stairs. With additional help, we were able to extricate those members. As all that is happening, other members are performing CPR on the victims in the street,” said Chief of Fire Operations Kevin Woods. The fire was placed under control just before 2:45 p.m. FDNY Fire Marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire.

This is a tweet out to the Congress leadership to ask if they are endorsing this sort of behavior on a TV debate or if this mindset is approved by the higher ups. There has been a lot of chatter about women, their dressing, moral Policing, survivor and victim blaming in Telangana / AP after an actor shamed a co actor in a Film event, using cuss words, and then in general on women who don’t dress modestly in public events. It was called an act of ‘concern’. What followed was a lot of Television channels panels with abuse and cuss words - one would have never imagined seeing this on a mainstream TV / News channel. A lot of women responded saying policing women’s clothes is not going to stop sexual assault. This lady here is reportedly, a Congress politician. She says if the actress (she is referring to) has guts, she has to come out in public with a bikini without security guards. The men on the road will eventually want to rape her and she should get raped, shut up and sit at home - she better not dare / bother going to the police station. And if she dares, whatever “half” clothes are left on her body will also be removed and …. I haven’t watched the entire video - however, the scenario here and how they are referring to women in public spaces, in the medi and the level of abuse is setting a dangerous precedent, justifying sexual assault and abuse against children, old women and the dead, saying men are unable to control themselves and therefore, women’s ‘immodest’ clothing is the reason for rapes on kids. Fun fact. Stoopee (the black one) wandered into our house a week after our dog Watson passed. A month after we adopted him, he made sure to bring his friend from the street Lucy (the white one) by. We knew it would have to be both of them adopted together. Now during the day, whenever they sleep they like to be in each others eye line. At night, she sleeps in the bedroom and he makes sure to sleep in a bed right outside the bedroom door. Like he’s keeping watch on the three of us. We moved back to Mumbai exactly a year ago. With our two goa indies. We were so stressed about whether they would adapt. Strangely, the minute they got to the city, away from the street they lived on, it’s like they knew they were set for life. Because the reminder of the street they used to live on was gone, so they weren’t always on edge. They know now, Wherever we go, they know they are coming. Seeing them settle here, sleep 16 hours a day without a care in the world, is I think the greatest moment of this year for me. It’s been an amazing amazing blessing 🧿
