well thats fucking it - anthropic has officially replaced software engineers. claude is now a 24 hr autonomous coding agent. claude can now operate your entire computer and CLAUDE CODE = end-to-end software engineering: - claude writes the code for you - then literally opens the app it coded - clicks through the entire app and find bugs - then fixes the bugs and improves the app in hours. previously claude generated code, you run it and give claude feedback. thats completely gone now. all in a continuous loop without leaving your terminal 😂 we're barely through monday. well done lol

Presented by Sid Bidasaria, Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic live at Code with Claude on May 22, 2025 in San Francisco. Here is what the talk covers. Headless mode lets you run Claude Code without a person actively typing prompts from inside an automated script. Instead of a live session, a script calls Claude with a pre-written instruction using the -p flag. This opens the door for Claude Code to become a piece of a much larger, automated process. In plain terms: Claude Code stops being a tool you use and starts being a service that runs on its own. What this unlocks: Scheduled tasks: Run Claude Code on a cron schedule without anyone at a keyboard. Fix linting errors across an entire codebase. Automatically. Overnight. CI/CD integration: Trigger Claude Code as a step in your build process. Open a PR. Claude reviews it, flags issues, and pushes fixes before a human ever looks at it. GitHub automation: A project manager comments "Claude fix this" on a GitHub issue. Claude reads the request, finds the code, writes the fix, and opens the PR. But there's a simple workaround. Push your Cowork workspace to a private GitHub repo. Open Claude Code on the Anthropic mobile app. Connect the repo. Done. Now every skill file, brain file, and writing style you built for Cowork is accessible on the go. No coding. 5 minutes to set up. I've been using Claude Code for non-coding tasks, like sorting emails and analyzing my spending This was annoying to setup because Claude doesn’t have the right context - it can’t see my email or my credit card statements So we built a virtual filesystem that turns all of my data sources (gmail, notion, gdrive and more) into local folders on my computer I can just describe what I need (e.g. "invoices from the last week") and a folder appears on my computer with exactly those files This gives Claude context, but it also gives it memory - since it has a local filesystem that syncs in the background, it continuously gets access to my data The more things you expose as files, the more Claude can do for you
